Post game said that was on Pete, perfect situation to take the safety and he didn't get It in on time. Dickson Shanked it but Pete took the hit for not doing what was the right thing in the situation.

Not sure if i agree with taking a saftey there. Dickson has a huge leg he just rushed it which is understandable i guess but certainly could have boomed one too.

At best you get 40 yards on that punt plus they have a return opportunity since everyone stayed in to block.

If you take the safety you're up by 3 in a free kick situation.

I get the thinking I suppose, but giving up free, unforced points late in a game doesnt make me comfortable either.

Lets say the Browns get the ball in a more traditional location due to a normal punt there....lets say their own 40. Whos to say they dont turn it over? Shank a field goal attempt into the weird wind?

In what ended up being a 4 point win, a 2 point lead late instead could have been disasterous.

Again, I get it, I just wonder if it looks like the "clear best choice" in hindsight because Cleveland scored an immediate TD off a shank...

His crap punt out of end zone not entirely his fault. Very short field to punt from. People act like he sucks. He is not doing as well as last year but he is still good. I say keep him.

Yes, that was a short punt in the endzone. Less room than usual.

Keep him and hopefully he'll boot like he did last year.

You think a "normal punt" from your own 1 yard line that doesn't even give you the normal drop back for a punt would have the Browns taking over at their own 40? That's a 59 yard punt with no return.

If you recall last year we had a similar situation , almost exactly.

I think if anything you could argue that is his one issue, but that's tough for any punter.
