And by the way, why on earth do we have Bevell still on the team? Was just wondering since there is so obviously a massive prison riot in the locker room over his presence - all instigated by the greatest pass catching TE legend in the history of mankind.

Guess that's why we've hardly seen him play.

Nothing that makes sense seems to be the direction this team goes in on the offensive side of the ball.

Familiarity with your Receivers tendencies is paramount to trusting whether or not to take a shot....Kearse worked his ass off to getting open on a lot of plays to help his Quarterback out of bull rushes.
I know that he drops more balls than he should, but some of the passes going his way are not always catchable, and besides, There is NO Receiver in the League that doesn't drop an easy one every now and then.
I do kind of wish that they would have gotten Tanner McEvoy a few more targets, especially now that Lockett's been injured....I'm hoping that he turns out to be another Joe Jurevicius type Receiver.
What I don't understand though?, is why some here are so bent on believing that they know better than Professional Football Coaches......Not saying that I haven't seen a few head scratcher play-calls, though I guess it all comes down to execution (or lack thereof)....I'm guessing that they see something in practices that might look promising, only to have Defenses blow up some of those plays.

I'm laying my money down on another Bevell thread, the gravitational pull is too much for some.



Tanner's looked good when he's had his opportunities but I'm sure he still has a lot to learn.

It takes Russ time to develop chemistry with guys, but I think McEvoy is a guy he'll gravitate to eventually.

I really think McEvoy starts getting more snaps going forward and for some reason I think Richardson surprises us production wise.

I wonder if he could supplant Terrell at safety? I understand he has some experience there as well. Yeah. He looks like a guy they wlll keep. If he can learn to play receiver without committing OPIs I'd say he's won a lot more reps. Kind of like he idea mentioned above of McEvoy, Graham and even perhaps Willson running around in the red zone at the same time. RW's to to be able to hit one of them. Maybe something they could practice, the tall guy drill.

I guess Pete likes to play Kearse over McEvoy because he doesn't want the offense to be good.

McEvoy is 6'6" and 235 pounds, plus he blocks very well.

I think they should put him and Graham together on the same side, and then keep them in to block. You would totally shore up that side of the line and help with the OL issues. Why doesn't Bevell see this?
