Schotty wins, Russ loses. I don't hate Russ, but I like seeing him lose. He engineered his way out of this town. Now he loses, loses, and loses some more. And his interception at the end is what enabled the Cowboys to win. Looked like it was heading for a tie before that.

Giants ended up losing (thanks mostly to a 64 yd FG. But Russ was cookin', no denying that. He went for something like 450 yds and 3 TDs? That is a good day for ANYONE. It just wasn't quite good enough.
until he moonballed the game winner to the cowboys for an int.

Yeah, that's the problem. Russ got too cocky.

Except for that blunder...and make no mistake, it was huge...Russell had his best game in the past 5 years. He was 30/31 for 450 yards and 3 TD's with a passer rating of 123.0, polar opposite of his numbers last week. But that one interception...

Now the problem is that the Giants are starting out the season 0-2 with the Chiefs coming up on SNF next week. If the Giants lose that one, the calls for Daboll to put in Dart are going to mount.

Russ had a great game. I was pulling for the Giants to win because of my Cowboy dislike. Even when Russ hit Nabors for that TD near the end of reg, I looked over at my partner and said...they shouldn't be celebrating so much, all the Cowboys are going to need are a couple chunk completions and they'll have a chance to tie this thing.

Unfortunately, my leeriness proved to be right.

That was a bad/unnecessary INT in OT there. When I looked at the replay, though, Nabors started to break off to the sideline rather than continuing to run more of a post route where the moon ball eventually was picked off. So I wasn't completely sure if there was a miscommunication/misread/misroute there. In either case, it would have been kind of a 50/50 ball at best.
