Some days it's just not working.
Ride the hotter hand.

All season Kubiak has refused to go with the hot hand at RB. Not gonna change.

The problem is that Walker is terrible at pass protection too - so if he's in the backfield today...he's a liability.

It doesn't help he has to run 8-12 yards to get to the LoS

They only need to use him on quick developing plays on not slow ones.

Stop using Darnold today too

Haha... I'm in a weird position. I'm not a Darnold fanboy who wants to pretend Darnold is a top-tier QB, but I'm not a "cut Darnold" type either. I see Darnold as not anywhere near being a top-tier QB, especially in terms of reliability, but he's still a good value on his current contract. I was pretty down on his signing, but now I see him as a perfectly good stopgap, and certainly good enough to win a title as long as he's on his current contract. If he starts getting paid like a top QB, his teams will not have a real chance.

He got the ball and stopped again. Lost all forward momentum. They need to fine him every time he stops after the handoff.

Everyone needs to take a lunch break. Walker likes to take his after getting the ball for a few seconds.

Darnold had a bad game. But half of that was the OC. Mostly from trying to force a middling run game. If you can limit Darnold's short passes over the middle, he tends to be solid...especially if you can get him on the move.

It appears the flawed gameplan might have worked today for our OC. But we better not see this against the 49ers.
