Richard Sherman said on the TNF broadcast, that Broncos receivers aren't getting separation vs man to man coverage, and receivers who can't do that, well, other teams aren't interested in trading for them. Agreed, Jeudy was rather unimpressive.
KC's DC came in with a solid plan that frustrated Russell. He'll see more M-M coverage the remaining games he plays because he's not as big a threat to run as he used to be. KC knew that Russell hates to throw to even somewhat covered receivers, and wants them to be nearly wide-open before he'll throw it. It's yet another "book" on how to play Russell Wilson, on top of the 2-High Shell coverages that he has trouble with, because they take away his outside-the-numbers deep shots that WERE his bread and butter at one point.
I think Payton and the OC bear a lot of responsibility here also; the scheme needs to help Russell out by creating more open receivers.
