Good point. I probably buy maybe 3 beers a season. Just hard to justify. Pre-Funk it somewhere else before the game. Easy button.

Stadium prices are disgraceful and disgusting. Like theater prices for popcorn, candy and soda. The mark up is ridiculous.

Two things came to mind after giving this more thought than it deserves:

1) Any Seattle Dog is eaten outside the stadium. I never buy a hot dog inside.
2) Beer, as mentioned above, should also be consumed outside the stadium. A beer at the cost of more than a six pack at Safeway just irks me.

One of the things I like about the new owner of the NHL’s Utah Mammoth (I’m a STH).

That is awesome. And, to be fair, I bet they make more money because people are more likely to buy from them. I know if I went to a Mammoth game I would buy three waters and two popcorns every game at a minimum.

Do you realize that you can bring food into lumen for a game? Bring something you made for yourself. Bags of snacks are allowed. Hell, you could grab Seattle dogs outside the stadium and enjoy them in your seat. This is underutilized and not well known.
I started being sandwiches from some of my favorite places last season. So much cheaper and way better then stadium food!

Funny I just watched the Raiders dude who set a world record for most games attended last season and he made a point of it to mention the hot dogs inside the stadium suck but the ones outside were really good.

I used to eat a lot of Dodgers dogs. They might not have been great, but they were cheap and gone in three bites. But yeah, outside is the way to go - sausage outside of Fenway was really good, hot dogs at grocers near Riverfront in Cincinnati, etc. But I really think our sausage vendors are the greatest, especially the $5 after-game specials outside T-Mobile. Almost forgot the Astrodome - best shitty hamburgers ever.

You got me reminiscing! The brats in Milwaukee were great, but nothing like a Dodger dog, be they grilled or steamed.

I'm more shocked there's a hot dog in Atlanta for $2, being accustomed to $6 small waters at venues around here and all.

A $2 hot dog is literally close to what Costco charges -- and they acknowledge they are actively keeping prices down for this!
