So now we need a QB?

I don't know about the garbage human being but he's a dreadful QB.
There is a clique of 5 well-known players on that Bama team that run with Milroe. Look into whether any of them started reaching out to Kalen's wife and daughter and whether they threatened to create a Mutiny in the locker room if Kalen benched Milroe. Then ask yourself who might have given that kind of instruction to them to harass their own coach's wife and daughter.

I say if we're going QB -- go all out. Both Shadeur and Cam Ward look like legitimate NFL talent. Shadeur is one of the better guys that sets his feet and throws to a spot, he's also incredibly elusive. You're going to have to massively overpay with both NYG and LV needing QBs so it probably doesn't happen.

Otherwise, you keep Geno and draft oline. Milroe and Ewers are just not going to make it in the NFL -- Ewers throwing motion is just begging for failure. Milroe is a pretty exceptional athlete but he's marginal (NFL level) at best in the pocket.
I’d argue neither look like legit MFL QBs. Ward is good until he’s not. Then he’s really bad. And Sanders i don’t see a nfl starter.

Firm believer in Cam ward maybe not for the MFL but for sure the NFL. :D

There's not much at the top and this team won't be in position anyway. Best thing to do is take a late round flyer on guys like Riley Leonard, Will Howard, Kurtis Rourke, etc. in the mean time.

I'd be satisfied with Riley Leonard.

I'm almost all-in that we are going to draft Quinn Ewers, that JS sees him as Josh Allen 2.0, and that Mac sees him as the right type of character to lead the team in the future. I think he could work with JSN.

I can see you trying to make a Josh Allen comparison which would be a big, strong QB that can throw from the pocket with some mobility but I don’t see Ewers as that. IMO that would be Will Howard or Drew Allar

Ewers looks like a JS Seahawk to me. Same guy vs the moist teams Alabama and OK, and the other always dirty places. Ewers will be known.

Who do we take? Will we finish bad enough to get Ward. No one else I see worth taking early. Maybe take a flyer on Rourke or take a chance Gabriel can get over his height disadvantage as a mid to late round pick?
Next year will be a non-competitive year for us.

In all honestly we should have moved up for a QB last year. 5 of the 6 all look like legit NFL QBs. So many here dismissed Nix, yet he has been really good also. But who knows if Grubb could have game planned around his strengths the way Payton has. But on The flip side, we have great WRs and good TEs, Denver has neither .

Denver also has one of the best offensive lines, that is huge for a rookie QB imo. I've seen a lot of rookie QB's get wrecked over the years because of a poor one. You are right about that QB class, many dismissed Maye, McCarthy and Penix also. Truth is nobody, including teams, really know. You just have to take the shots.

Except he has nothing in common with Josh Allen. Ewers is tiny, Josh is huge and can run the ball. Ewers is a big Meh.

Sometimes you just have a feeling a QB will succeed in the NFL, more often you have no idea. I didn't have a good feeling about Mirer or Leaf but recently had positive vibes about both Penix & Nix.
It feels like our scouting dept is subpar or not thorough enough especially in the areas of offensive line & QB. That falls on JS and I hope it improves moving forward.

QBOTF??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I'm good with Geno for the right price next year but I think they have to start throwing some darts on guys like this. Dart I kind of like.

After watching Ewers again this weekend he looks even less impressive. I haven't seen a single QB I like. Kyle Mccord is mildly interesting. Smart, good at making his reads student of the game. not very mobile though.

Kurtis Rourke, Indiana looks interesting.
Needs some coaching and limited running, will be a 24 yo rookie.

Ewers is still pretty young, he should find a program and at least give it another year. He could only help his stock barring injury.

Allar if he declares seems like a good choice. Not sure where he would go in the draft, some say 1st QB off the baord some say 2nd round. He has the size and can make some great touch throws. He tends to hold the ball too long IMO, but wouldn't be too upset if they wanted him.
