So maybe Pete and John knew something about AB after all?

I think he was hopeful that AB could add another dimension to the offense. I don’t think it’s fair to blame his behavior on Russ. Maybe he thought he could influence him for the better. I find it interesting that Brady loses his marbles and then AB follows suit? Coincidence or leadership?

It got TB a SuperBowl and it probably would have helped us beat the Rams in the playoffs last year.

It doesn't matter if he is peeing in the street and screaming obscenities afterwords.

It was a dumb decision not to bring him in considering the garbage showing we had on offense in the playoffs.

Not sure there is anything to be smug about, because AB would have helped us.

It was a dumb decision then and it was a dumb decision in hindsight.

Who cares what AB would have done this year?

You don't have to be a good person. You don't have to even be sane.

You just have to catch the football and score touchdowns.

You don't even have to be a great teammate if you put enough points up.

I’m not at all feeling smug, but haven’t we already experienced a few of those guys?

My point is that our coaching staff is not as clueless as some would suggest.

I well remember Harvins contributions and detractions.

Some things work and some things don’t.

I still want Russ, Pete and John here. Remember that it’s difficult to win.

I saw this same thing in the 49er heyday while I was living in the Bay Area. If the miners didn’t win the SB the fans
Went into histrionics and lost their minds. Even jerry rice blew up.

The goal is to win but you can’t win every year. The nfl would not allow that. As many have posted ad nausium.

This is the exact reason that a certain someone does not have a job in the NFL. He just doesn't have the talent. We see this kind of crap play out all the time. A player acts like a complete idiot and still gets paid millions even though everybody knows what's coming. The NFL will give you a job if you have talent. No matter the side show.

To be fair, the one that triggered him was Bruce Arian...Can you imagine Mr. Kool-aid being your coach but w/ a frown all the time.

AB would have been great and i think Pete and the Seahawk staff would help his mental issues.

If it isn't already too late, one can hope that Antonio Brown will get the help he so badly needs.

With regards to the Seahawks, not signing Antonio Brown was the best thing that didn't happen during the 2021 season.

Brown quit on three teams in three years. I don't think it has anything to do with the coaches, he's insane and needs help.

He's obviously got something going on mentally. This is not rational behavior.

:ditto: Yeah, what he said. Our record with high maintenance, head case WRs is not that good.

I don't think he wants to play anymore and hasn't for some time..No doubt he loves the $$$
It's just too bad-some want the glory but don't want to just play and leave everything else off
the field.

Meh. AB would have made a few big plays here, but in the end, he proved yet again, he's more trouble than he's worth. He played for 4 excellent coaches, and none could reach him. A sad ending, but an inevitable one.

I think he has a screw loose and needs to get help before he hurts himself, or someone else.

Some posters here are still convinced Josh Gordon would help this team. Even though he has done nothing in years and is doing nothing with KC. Fans always trying so hard to deny reality with these players in vain hopes of greatness. Even though these players have proven over and over what they are.

Yeah, they knew the same thing that everyone else knew. He's got some serious mental health issues.

Some teams were willing to take that risk for the potential reward. It appears that the Seahawks were not.

Russ completed 11 passes out of 27 attempts in that game.

AB wouldn't have made any difference. We didn't lose that game because we didn't have enough and/or good enough receiving options. We lost that game because the Rams D absolutely dominated our OL and Russ was under siege almost every single snap. And yes, Russ didn't exactly play well either, but he was facing pressure nearly instantaneously much of the time, and even when he wasn't, he was clearly expecting to get crushed any second.

Let's also not forget that the Rams were the #1 defense in the league last year, and they absolutely played like it in that game.

I don't remember exactly who and when, but somebody (on the Browns maybe?) targeted AB's head in a game a few years back and gave him a pretty big concussion. Dude has been like this ever since. I think he has CTE and shouldn't be playing anyway, for his own sake.
