How big a problem is a small qb? There’s a few, Russ breeze Fran, that’s a short list… after watching Russ though I would never pick a short qb again. So this kid the rams picked?? WTH. I guess hawks fans should say, uhh thank you? Diego Pavia signed with the ravens, he’s 5’9”. Kyler Murray was never gonna make it, was that cause he was short?

Yeah I never want another short qb, maybe

Kinda feels like everything Russ paved the way for was paved back over. I think the lesson here is that you can get away with being short if you have insane escapability and land in a phenomenal situation, but that lack of height is a huge liability.

Yep.. drew breese was the best short guy, I never saw Fran. Kyler Murray made things harder for the short guys

Lets put it this way, O lineman were in the 250 to 265 range, back when Fran started, things exploded not long after the late 70's when you started having 300 pound and then keep getting bigger players.

Nailed it! My college roommate, who tried out and played center at an SEC team, was 260lbs. He was 'released' when he gained more weight. That was the early '70s.
