I think Cam Ward is going to be a stud, if he lands at a team that isn't a complete shit show. But I don't know anything.

Cam should come to the Hawks and learn under the tutelage of Sam Howell, after a year or two, he will be ready to start.

If Shedeur is available at 18, I take him in a heartbeat. In fact, I trade up multiple spots for him. The reports about him are from loser franchises who will continue to lose because they view his personality as a negative. The dude ******* balls and it's embarassing that football fans wouldn't want him on their team.
I think his attitude is very like Johnny Manziel, disrespect for coaches and over arrogent. Manziel had even more raw talent than Shadeur and like Shadeur predictions of his draft position varied from top 3 to undraftable. We know how Johnny Football did.

On the RW comparison, there were no concerns about Russ's attitude beforethe draft (that I am aware of) and he seems to be willing to learn and work hard for success during his rookie contract. I don't know if it was a big pay check, Ciara or something else that changed him.

Why the hell are we even talking QB early now? Dalton is our guy fo now. We aren't drafting/reaching for any of these average QB's atleast on day 1 or 2.

Did I miss something? The Panthers extended Dalton and hadn't heard any news of a trade since then and I would surprised if we got him having just invested in Darnold.

A lot of people are thinking Darnold is a bridge, his contract is one that would be fairly painless to cut him after a year or two. I don't think we should be taking a QB in day 1 but if on day two we can get a significant upgrade on Sam Howell as back up with the potential to be our QBOTF from 2026 I am in favor (especially if it is a 3rd round pick).

Maybe if Dart was there late 2nd? Or maybe Shough in the 3rd, but he is 25 already?

Milroe, Ewers, Riley Leonard are the ones I'm ok with I think, dart doesn't have the arm for me, and it's funny but everyone knows you're drafting Prime along with Shadeur and it's a real consideration

I think the position is too valuable for Sanders to fall out of the top 10. I would be shocked if he's there at 18 and I think its a smokeshow

I don't think Shedur falls to 18 either. Just from what has been put out there so far. I am terrible at identifying QB prospects unless it's Peyton Manning where it seems pretty no brainer so I have no idea. If I knew CJ Stroud the year before or Daniels last season were going to look that good I would have been screaming from the rooftops trade the farm / trade up.

I heard somewhere that Dart impressed at his Pro Day. I'm starting to think he really might go in the first round.

I don't expect to see Sam Howell on our roster much longer, particularly after the draft. I believe we take a QB in this draft, I just hope we don't put it off until all we have to chose from are the leftovers. There are several candidates in this draft who appear to be workable, but once you get into the depth market the pick would be more useful at other positions.

To put on a devil's advocate hat for a moment, one could say that Sanders is the best type of qb you're ever going to find in the mid first round. Someone with talent, who is also a head case. Will the stars ever align, and we have a top 3 pick in a strong qb draft? It has never happened that I remember. The closest we got was in '93 when we got Rick Mirer with the 2nd pick, and Bledsoe was first. Not a great qb draft, and probably similar to this one. It's a crapshoot. Period. That said, I would still rather swing and miss, then never swing at all just because the odds are bad. Because guess what? The odds are always bad. Always. But sometimes, you actually do hit a home run. It could be us.

Go Hawks.

Draft order and teams in need of QB, supposingly, Shedeur's father won't let him interview with teams not drafting top 10:
  1. Titans, QB coach: Bo Hardegree
  2. Browns, QB coach: Bill Musgrave
  3. Giants, QB coach: Shea Tierney
  4. Patriots, do not need QB
  5. Jaguar, do not need QB
  6. Raiders, QB coach: Greg Olsen
  7. Jets, QB coach: Charles London
  8. Panthers, do not need QB
  9. Saints, do not need QB
  10. Bears, do not need QB
Reportedly, more than one position coach leaked that Shedeur displayed unprofessional behaviors.
Greg Olsen? The TE?

Well if we did draft Sanders, we'd finally get some more national attention.

True, we will all hear the laughing from Miami Florida to Banger Maine through the Midwest to Death Valley and all the way up the coast to South Alaska and finally here in Egypt.

The Shedeur of 2025 is the antithsis of 2012 Russell Wilson, and frankly, Wilson had as good if not better a college resume. Shedeur is on a free-fall on PFF's simulator after his no nothing combine and bad press from his team interviews. Apparently, he was disrespectful and arrogant towards the coaches behind closed doors. He is currently ranked #46 on PFF's big board, I drafted him with our #18 on one of the mocks, but got a F for poor value. Free fall from a few weeks ago.View attachment 69834

A picture could be misleading. Wilson had that goofy 'eager to please' look on his 2012 pic, not sure about Shedeur.

If baby boy Sanders falls to #18, it will be time to bank picks. JS will be on the horn with, COME ON boys what's your bid.... going once going twice. Solid 1 first and a high second please.
