Also, I'm glad it took place at 4:00 am as the roads are fairly clear and I didn't hit anyone else. Survivor's guilt is a real thing. The crazy thing is I should've died according to Doctors. They opened up my lower cavity I was was pooling blood. I'm a fairly in shape 56 year old 52 at the time but they had to start flooding my system with infusion. They sealed off the artery and then induced me in to a coma and started working on my fractures. Woke up 4 days later trying to fight the male nurse on duty thinking I was abducted. Thank God my sister and her husband were sitting there staring at me. They told me what happened and then of course it all came back to me. Scary ordeal for sure. I think I might've went to hell for 20 minutes idk. Started charging my lifestyle immediately including the most important is rest between shifts and a proper diet. Started reading the Bible as well. It's as if God is telling me time to retire and take stock in my blessings. Be humble and treat people with dignity and respect (unless you're trash talking lol)

I say this here and now only to serve as a reminder to all.

Operating a motor vehicle on public roads is a responsibility that most of us grow complacent to.

Please be alert and safe while on the road. Someone needs you.

The line between life and death can be much thinner than you think about regularly.

Amen Brother. I used to get CPR/First Aid training from a friend of mine who was an EMT, and he dealt with some terrible accidents.

I keep tabs on my driving at all times, use my cruise control to maintain speed, and I LOVE my auto distancing and auto braking on my car.

That headline from Florio is SOOO disingenuous. Especially since he's spent the last several days complaining about media integrity.

The police report came out and that's what he's referring to. The headline is clickbait.

1) Yes he was holding his phone. The police couldn't have known that though unless he had told them.
2) The OTHER driver (21 year old female in SUV, uninjured) veered into his lane and hit him head-on.
3) She was listed in the police report as being at fault.

This is why I hate media. They only report what gets the clicks. THIS is what's wrong with journalism, not that the incident wasn't immediately reported.
