San Francisco 49ers to play in 2026 NFL Mexico Game

The National Football League has announced that the San Francisco 49ers will be one of the participating teams for the upcoming 2026 NFL Mexico City game, presented by Banorte.

Having two international games in one season? Yikes.

Kind of a bum deal, like the Vikings last year. I don't think the NFL should have one team play 2 international games in a single season....But it is SF.

You're right to some extent. But the Australia game is a week and half before the second game, so it isn't the same as an international game during the season. They'll have plenty of time to rest and regroup after that trip.
