I think there are intriguing options throughout the draft. Terrible is a pretty big overstatement. It doesn't have massive headliners but it does have a good number of decent options.
I think it's funny to hear a huge chunk of draft niks start this tune. The same guys that in January and early February said, this a bad QB class, have zero 1st round grades on any QBs are now saying it's not a bad class. If you don't have a first round grade on a single QB, his is our not bad?

Yeah it feels like people heard something said and everyone just repeats it. It’s thin at the very top but there are some intriguing guys who in the right system could turn into quality guys. Just have to find them and coach them.
I think the Eagles success this season has WAY more to do with this about face than any actual evaluation. When Brady Cook is the hot name at the combine, and a 25 year old that's played at 3 schools and has had just as many injury redshirts, that's a sign.

And just like people repeating it's a bad class, the same amount are repeating, it's not top loaded with blue chippers but it's got a lot of guys in the middle that are "intruiging."

One thing that isn’t talked about is the possibility that Seattle moves up to get their QB from 18. They have extra ammo to do that now if they want. I could see them moving from 18 to 12sh or so and grabbing a guy like Dart. No one is talking about it so seems even more likely lol
is dart a early first rounder? Seems like a good draft to take a lineman early offense or defense

Dart is the definitive 2nd Round QB. In a stronger QB class he'd be there between 40-55, easy. However, this class is lacking and Dart (any QB really) stock will be inflated. He could be gone by 15.

Some guys are saying the league views him that way even if the media doesn’t?

I’m not saying I would just that it seems like John is stocking up so it’s an option if his guy falls somewhere in the draft. Could be the second round he wants to move up if a guy he likes falls?

I think a lot depends on who they sign at QB.

If we do move up for a quarterback, I think we do it in 2026. I think we bolster the roster with our 5 top-100 picks, build the guy a nest, and call our shot bigtime next year. Maybe LaNorris Sellers or even Arch Manning.

We have the cap to extend our building blocks while also spending on some long term FA.

I would move up for Cam Ward though.

I don't know what to think of Cam Ward. I truly believe he's talented and the most NFL ready in the draft, but I could be wrong. He had to put up points like a basketball player in Miami for them to have any chance of winning due to a horrible defense and he succeeded fairly well.

I would gamble on him, but wouldnt be shocked if he were to miss.

I doubt we can get up there for him without giving up serious 2026 capital, but I think Ward after sitting for a year could probably be a franchise guy. I need to look closer, though. Haven't really watched too much of the top-of-draft guys at QB yet.

I agree with you that he's a pipe dream right now for us. I dont think they would ever give enough to get into a position to take him. I watched him a good bit last season and he looked great at times, but Miami didn't play hardly any teams with good defenses so it's still a mystery and gamble.

then it makes all the sense in the world to sign Darnold in this scenario and is pretty pragmatic. They will still take a mid-round flyer on someone like Shough or Leonard.
