38yo..1979 was my first Seattle game vs the Buffalo Bills. I also lived in S Alaska so the only NFL games I ever saw was that of the Seahawks and it was on Wednesdays.

I named my first son after a Seahawk, I missed my first daughters birth for the 2000 game against Miami. I have a tattoo, I have had season tickets. My week lives and dies with this team.

With all that being explained, yes SB talk scares me...looking towards the next opponent scares me. Most importantly, you don't know who John L Williams was?

Drunk rant over.

im 31. so my recollection of the hawks starts around 86-87 or so. i remember mom would go grocery shopping sunday mornings and try to get back home before kickoff. that was always her goal. of course dad would stay home and must have been a bad year cause he would stack shoes up next to the recliner to throw at the TV when we screwed up.

i do remember going to a game at the kingdome, against the niners, and all i remember from the game was staring at joe montana through the binoculars. dunno how old i was, had to have been like 6 or so. thats what i was excited to see. haha, kids.

John L is my 2nd favorite all time Hawk (Easley 1st).

Re: John L ...do you recall the fumble?

Love me some Lynch...but I'd trade Lynch in an instant for John L. He was that good. Like a cross between Earl Campbell and Curt Warner. I envy those of you too young to remember him, but you missed the best player nobody ever talks about.

Just got married 4 years ago, and I stated so you're going to change everything. She said only the stuff that you throw at your TV during Seahawk games. Now I have two Seahawk teddy bears and a pair of socks.

36 here although did not become a Seahawks fan until the early nineties...not sure the exact year...think it was either 1993 or 1994, but I do remember being so proud that Chris Warren was the leading rusher in the AFC in 1994. I happened to catch a game when he was just on another level from anyone else on the field and I was just mesmerized.

I have faded memories of Benny Blades and Brian Blades...McGuire or Mirer(don't remember which) having the offense during a game against KC and handing off to Warren three times at like the 1 yard line and they weren't able to punch it in for a td....thinking about how cool Galloway was, even while wishing he was more consistent(and later pretty happy about the 2 1st round picks dallas gave up for him)....

sadly..don't remember much about Tez/Greene/Sinclair....even though I have seen many don't care for him anymore(guess he has talked crap about Seattle a lot since his retirement) but Chad Brown was my favorite Seahawk for quite a long time....

the diminutive Willie Williams who would have me shaking my head but never denying that he left everything out on the field....Sean Dawkins, even though he was only here two years, they were pretty productive for him.

Jon Kitna. man i wanted so badly for him to succeed as the starter....that playoff game in Miami after the free fall from 7-2 to barely making it into the wild card round.....all of those heartbreaking defeats to the Rams....The game the Seahawks lost 34-37 to the Rams and through a collective team effort let my heart be ripped to shreds by just barely falling short(not sure which year that was...just looked it up 2000)......

Waters, DJack, Shawn Alexander, Big Walt, Hutchinson(before the bs anyways), Hamlin, Boulware..

again the rams...the Hasselbeck pass right into the hands of Bobby Engram in the wildcard round and the third time they beat us that year.....yup..was right 2004....the "we want the ball, and we're gonna score"
the pain of the lost super bowl...that was a magical season though, to be sure....

The sadness at the quick decline of our prodigal middle linebacker..alas for poor Tatupu...seeing the sad signs of this grand team fading away even though they still made it to the playoffs the next two years after the superbowl year..damned bears it seemed were are kryptonite..even Pete's first year here....I still get such a big smile though when I think about Romo fumbling that snap and getting stopped by Big Play Babs...man it was so crushing that next year after beating Washington when they went into Green Bay and put up that 14 points really quick and then just got steamrolled.....

I hardly remember the last couple of seasons before Pete because it was just so depressing...it was so disappointing how bad of a joke the Mora year was....even in his first year and before it even became apparent they could win a division with a losing record I was still so excited for where the team was headed....

this has definitely been a long ride and here's to hoping this is another superbowl year, and that the Lombardi trophy will be at Century Link Field when it's all said and done.

John L was the real deal. You don't supplant Lynch for John L though, two different positions. JL was a fullback, but man could he catch and run out of the backfield.

JL over MRob though, a fan favorite, oh hell yes.

Easley is also my number 1, and I do not recall the fumble, proly because he is one of my icons. But I agree John L, one of the best and nobody knows of him.

I am 41. My earliest Seahawk memory is my father telling me to respect the Hawks since they respected 'us'. I was entranced by a left handed charismatic QB.. I was left handed and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Initially I was more of a Zorn fan than a true Seahawk fan and hated David Krieg for YEARS for stealing Zorn's job. Other early Seahawk memories are the legendary Zorn to Herrera pass combo and a bumbling, stumbling 80 yard touchdown to Dr. Dan on a screen pass when the Seahawks seemed to convert nearly every 3rd down by throwing him a screen pass.

I remember not "getting" the strike in 1982 but feeling sad it meant Sam McCullum was traded away. I remember being elated when Jack Patera was fired because he always seemed to be such a jerk.

Jeez..let me go turn on a black and white TV now and dig up some old 8 tracks...

Cortez Kennedy is my earliest Hawks memory. I remember Rick Mirer. I think I remember Dave Kreig but not positive if it's a real memory or not.

35, with vague memories of Curt Warner and Dave Krieg. Though, I didn't really pay much attention to the NFL until the mid 90s.

had to look it up with all the talk...thought those of you that were fans through that period might get a smile from some of those old memories...i know i was smiling as i watched it.

I was 13 and lived and died with these guys. Krieg, Warner, Largent, Williams...
