Any Chance they give us a rematch of LX to open the season?

Because we beat them so decisively, I'm guessing not. I'll go with Chicago as the most likely opponent, followed by the Chargers.

Chiefs? 2 superbowl winning QBs and coaches going head to head to open the season?

Mahomes fresh off the acl at best, potentially not ready at all. Don’t think they make that gamble.

I agree with the likelihood of Chicago. The offensive young coach against the defensive one. Was the only matchup really missing from this years playoffs.

its going to be the Rams. The superbowl winning team always opens with a playoff rematch. plus they like to open the season with divisional games. this checks off both. plus everyone knows the nfc championship was the real superbowl anyways.

According to the article below, it won't be the Chiefs. We already know it won't be the Rams or Niners, which would have been epic. That leaves:

Arizona (hell no)
Chargers (meh)
Giants (meh)
Patriots (don't think the public would be too amped up about this SB rematch)
Cowboys (perhaps it's a wishful thinking on my part, but I sense Cowboy fatigue is real)

By process of elimination, that leaves the Bears. It's gotta be the Bears. A team on the rise and an offensive guru versus a defensive guru.

The Bears wouldn’t surprise me one bit

I want the Bears if only to show them what would've happened if they would've been the ones who were our opponents in the NFCCG and not the Rams.

It would've been an asskicking almost similar to what we did to the Niners/Patriots.

I think it’s Giants, media will be all over the Harbaugh angle.

I’m guessing it will be Chicago.

The storyline they can create is marketing hype!

Caleb Williams, Ben Johnson vs Seattle defense and Mike Macdonald.

Easily, the top matchup the NFL can build this upcoming season around.

Mariners just announced time change for Sep 9th game.

Will still be a bit of a traffic mess in South Seattle, but they won't be playing simultaneously, unless they go to 20 innings or something. ;)

Seems like a good day for a unique Seattle double header. Take the day off and do Mariners/Seahawks. That is one awesome day.

People are overlooking the fact that somehow "America's Team" is gonna contend. (like they always do - lol 🙄)
Champs don't lose the opener.
Somehow that Star still generates an interest....
My money: Seahawks slam the "Girls" - week 1
🤔🤔🤔

Australia is likely week 1, which would eliminate both 49ers and Rams from this matchup.
I'm going to the game, with two friends. We're flying to Melbourne the day before, and back to Adelaide the evening after the game. It starts at 10:35AM on Friday morning here.

One of my friends is a lifelong passionate 49ers fan, and the other is only sort-of Green Bay. I shall of course wear my Seahawks gear, as I watch our two bitter divisional opponents fight it out.

Our seats cost A$780 (about US$450) each. I was shocked at the cost (the less expensive seats were gone), but as my wife (who egged me on, bless her) said - when will you maybe ever get to see an NFL game again!?

Happy wife, happy life, I say!

Our seats are in the red blob/marking near the bottom middle of this map of the venue, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), which is where a lot of Australian Rules football (AFL) is played. It seats 100,000 - and the actual gridiron is far further away from the stands than in a rectangular stadium.
