Long time reader, First post, hopefully I do this right. So hello everyone! I can't find the words yet to describe my feelings about the game yesterday or the 2012 season and I find there to be no real reason yet to speculate about who the Hawks may specifically sign in free agency or who we may specifically draft cuz none of us are part of the front office. So my only thought right now is the only foregone conclusion we already know of and that is that the Hawks next (meaningful) game will be week 1 in September of the 2013 NFL season. Which brings me to the point of this post.

I feel the Seahawks are in prime position to start the season off in primetime! Since the NFL began scheduling doubleheaders on monday nights of week 1, they have always featured 2 AFC west teams or 2 NFC west teams in the late game. The AFC west has hosted this game for the last 5 seasons and with how down that division was this past season, I just don't see them getting it again. Plus with Denver going 1 and done in the playoffs and the NFL's crush on Peyton Manning hopefully fading, I just see the NFC west hosting this game.

What better marketable game could the NFL get in that time slot then the Seattle Seahawks with all their sucess this season and the emergence of Russell Wilson? And who might our opponent be.....? Yes, you guessed it.... the team we should of been playing next anyways..... the San Francisco Forty-whinners! Wilson vs Kaepernick.... #1 D vs #2 D.... Carrol vs Harbough. Personally, I couldn't ask for more. I know its a huge game to play so early, but what better motivation could you ask for all off-season then to come out and spank our divisonal rival on national TV again and show them who their master will be for next season and for years to come. The Mariners are at home on the NFL's opening weekend so it would have to be in SanFran but I could care less, so please Roger Goodell, make this happen!

and god forebid the forty-whinners win the superbowl.... we could stick it to them on the thursday opening night game!

Like I said, I'm just trying to talk about something other then yesterdays game by looking forward to the next game. Let me know your thoughts and hello to all again.

GO HAWKS!!!

I wouldn't mind that but considering SF host Atlanta and GB next season I see a rematch. But the League does liek to get some division games started early too.

Both of our games vs San Fran will most certainly be prime time, i have a feeling that the rematch vs Atlanta will also be primetime

:sarcasm_on: Let's see... that's why we played the Cardinals this year in week 1.

As did the Giants and the Cowboys.

As did the Jets and the Bills.

As did the Ravens and the Bengals.

As did the Chargers and the Raiders.

As did the Buccaneers and the Panthers.

For the record, that's 6 divisional games out of 16, or 38% of the NFL's week 1 games.

They started this year off in a division game so why not. This was a hard loss to swallow and its gonna take soon time to get over. What a season we had, between a rookie Qb, Lb, and rookie depth at some spots we had a very exciting season. I wish coach would have let DangeRuss have at it sooner in the season and at the beginning of the game felt like the leash was back on. What a comeback tho. I don't think we lost by more then 7 points all year if I'm correct. Gentleman, just last year at this time we were talking about who could be are QOTF. Not anymore because we have found are guy and what a find he has become. He's more them a qb he's a counseling Qb with a maner the Pope would have. Great head on his shoulders. Think about how he's only gonna get better as well as everyone else on this team . Its a good time to be a Seattle Seahawks fan. Now the long news deprived offseason begins to early for my liking and all I'm left wih is a Go Seahawks!!!!!!!!!!!!12

Welcome aboard Handyman. I could see this game happening depending on whether our hated rival wins/plays in the Superbowl. Then they might get a SB rematch leaving possibly a Rams/Seahawks opener. That might get some consideration for the second Primetime game.

If SanFran wins the Superbowl, they will open at home against us.

If they lose, they will open on the road against us on Monday night.

Since they have started the double headers on Monday night, the late game has always been the Raiders. Time for that to end.
