I like what I'm reading about him. lives and breathes football. Has an eidetic memory when it comes to plays. He remembers them all.

I'm personally not in favor of any OC who has no NFL play calling experience. Going from an assistant under an OC who doesn't call plays to running the offense for a team with a defensive head coach is a big jump.

That said, he looks like an intriguing candidate and the Vikings have had good offenses the last two years.

Problem is, how much can you take from the third guy on the chart in terms of offensive philosophy? But that's what interviews are for, I suppose.

I like the guy on paper, but once again the lack of experience is a killer. We had some major growing pains this year due to the inexperience all around. I kind of feel like a OC that has been around the block a few times might be the way to go. A Schottenheimer, a Chip Kelly, Frank Reich, guys that have been there done it. I think Kelly might be a good guy to probe. He's become more well-rounded over the years and he just wants an OC job. He's done looking at head coaching gigs, a guy like that could potentially bring a lot of stability and know how. Frank Reich was a good play caller who probably won't be getting another shot soon either.

This is the one issue with defensive head coaches, if your OC is any good they get plucked immediately. This makes it hard to have any semblance of stability on offense.

Apparently, this guy lives and breathes football and is regarded as a high IQ guy, as long as he has those traits, I'm willing to trust MM if he ends up hiring him.

Hire the best of the experienced guys and bring Udi over as pass game coordinator and assistant OC.

From what I'm reading, the Vikes coaching staff is near implosion w/ O'Connell frustrated with his contract. They'll probably get it figured out, but I'd enjoy seeing the vikes crap the bed on this. My most despised team since 2006.
