Guys, I just got a note from the local Seahawkers club and it sounds like they have plans for a Saturday night party as well;

seahawksnet we will be at Buffalo Wild Wings 2 miles from Reliant.With the Houston Seahawkers group Sat night.

I know we're already set for Twin Peaks, but it's too bad we didn't know this before!

My wife has been following this on FB. She says they are expecting something over 100 people. She's been trying to get me to switch all week.

Rock, did that note you received extend an invitation to join them or is that quote the entire note?

There has been no up-front cash put down to reserve any space at TP's.

If the consensus of all those coming down is a preference to join the Seahawkers at BWW, and it is assured that our presence will not be any kind of party-crashing, then I'm game to cancel the reservation.

I don't do social media at all, and do not know any of those folks, but if we can get an official "ok" from their leadership, then I won't be a big deal to me either way.

They "officially" invited us to join them if we'd like, so it's completely up to us.

I'm good with the original plan. Scott did quite a bit of leg work securing the spot and the manager was very gracious. My time Saturday night will be limited either way. I've got to be up very early to buy ice and secure our tailgating spot.

Let's let folks have an evening to get off work and chime in, then we'll make the call tomorrow evening.

A thought:
We stick with plan "A", then send a couple recon scouts over to BWW, check it out, then report back. Bart is right, they are in close proximity.

"Both" sounds good. The scenery will be better at TP's, but the scene of a 120 12's wearing our favorite colors would look pretty good too!

My wife has updated me on their FB stuff. They are saying as many as 200 now. Rock has confirmed this via his private communication with the FB group. That sounds like an insane number of people for a BWW to handle. The trade off would be food quality and service. I'd say stick with the original plan for food and a few cold ones. Then the adventurous could head over to finish the night out at BWW. Sending a recon party is great idea Scott.

Down for Plan A from 6-9 or so and get to know some of YOU people--the people who exist beyond these screen names. After you start to bore me, I'd be all for a change of venue. Ok just going with the flow. Probably check out both.

I can't and won't speak for Scott, but my part in this in involved getting to meet Hawkers in Texas. This grew to getting to meet some of the .NET gang. Anything that I've done has only been an effort to make OUR "Houston game" experience the best I could help it be. I don't do FB or the twitter thing so I hand no idea this FB group existed. Funny part is this. My wife knew, but she didn't know I was involved with my own thing. I was doing it all on the down low, trying to surprise her. I even went so far as to arrange her a replacement at work for Saturday night. It all kinda blew up on me, but it's all working out.
Scott has a good idea about letting everybody get a chance to catch up and mull it over.
No reason we can't have the best of both worlds by starting at one and ending at the other. Good food ,service, and smaller group of .Netters, followed by a HUGE group of 12s.
