In fairness, its on the coach for risking him in preseason. Pretty dumb
What???? Most teams played starters for at least a short period this pre-season. It's the coaches' fault that a guy flat out took out his knees? wow

Again, the whole "coaching staff" or "front office" should somehow be able to predict injuries thing.......

Not even close. A lot of our starters barely played in the preseason. There’s a much stronger argument for not getting them enough work. Practice can only prepare players so far, especially with all of the practice rules in place nowadays. In game experience is invaluable.

Besides all this, when a player gets injured due to a penalized play that was made illegal due to risk of injury that fault lies squarely on the penalized team.

4th team in 4 years. Likely not an upgrade over Taylor. Hindsight is alway 20/20.

I'm on the Sean McVey train when it comes to preseason. Not worth the risk playing starters, especially those coming off injury. What do you learn playing starters against scrubs against vanilla offenses/defenses?

I get the fringe/backup guys.

it was starters vs starters for the first like 5 plays.. which was within when Uchenna was injured.

So, you don't think any team should ever play starters the entire pre-season? Got it.
Side note: F McVay and the Rams.
The back-to-back SB champions played the best player on the planet in the pre-season. Is Reid stupid?

You could play that game for EVERY injury that happens. Sitting every starter all pre-season is also stupid.
But....but.....the almighty perfect Shawn McVay does it different. I'm good with coach Mike doing things his way. He has NO blame for our guy getting a cheap shot to his knees.

I don't and I think the league is slowly phasing out preseason for that reason and instead will just do extra games.

The seahawks even said they learned more from the practices/scrimmages with the Titans than the actual preseason game

18 and 2 is gonna' happen, that's for sure.
But let's get back to what you said. You basically called Coach Mike stupid because a player got cheap shotted to his knees. Come on man, you know football more than that.

People other than Sean McVay have won Super Bowls.

Stupid is probably the wrong word but I wouldn't have risked a guy coming back from injury in a meaningless game. Especially someone as important as him.
