The above analyst references the Ravens often. Given his background, that's understandable. But with four man rushes, I see elements of Nick Sabin's 7 man coverage. Karl Scott coached under Sabin and I suspect Scott led the way in introducing a lot of the evolving coverage aspects we have witnessed in recent years. Seems to me that coaches Karl Scott and Jeff Howard are keys to the evolving communication and chemistry we are enjoying on game day.
By the way, Mcdonald describes team coverage as shell coverage with single high tendencies.
