First place schedule, an old D-line, not a lot of draft picks, several hard free agent decisions, and JSN's upcoming contract are all going to make it tough to repeat. But nothing's impossible!

Old DL?

Tackles are 33, 31, 26 & 23 now.

Ends are both 24

LB (some will line up on or near the line so I’ll include them) 33, 27, 26, 26, 25, 24, 24, & 23

Only players over 30 are Reed, Williams & Lawrence and all are on the good side of 35.

I don’t see age as an issue here.

The older guys on the DLine are All-pro talent against the modern
weak type OL of this era, age isn't the issue it once was.

You don't see Leonard Williams, Demarcus Lawrence, Jarran Reed, Uchenna Nwosu, and Boye Mafe ALL being on the verge of either leaving (Mafe) or potentially aging out of their primes, perhaps abruptly, as an issue? Cliffs can happen as early as 30. They often don't wait until 35.

Having Murphy and Mills as anchors is certainly a good look, but they need depth behind them to keep them fresh.

I don’t and that’s because they aren’t being overused. We have a good rotation. I remember hearing Williams say he felt better at the end of this season than he has in his career.

Plus we got Riley mills and Jared Ivey in the wings. And guys like Leonard play for ever. Plus you can tell he has lot of time left, I mean did you see him an JS flexing it!!

I haven't entertained any thoughts about our chances of repeating next year. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I'm not saying that I check out of football following the Super Bowl, but I definitely change to a different gear. Once August rolls around, I'll get back into that mode of anticipating what the upcoming season might produce.

Winning has that effect. The catch is we only won by the skin of our teeth. We need to add a turnaround vs the Rams like we had vs the Niners to get some comfort zone between winning and not.

He specifically credited how much they are able to rotate in and out helped them stay fresh week in and week out. Obviously every team needs to continue to build through free agency and the draft if they want to keep up but my point here is simply that our D line isn’t aging out next year Aces’s mentioned above.
