Only slight bad news is extent of Arroyo injury… he would be possible to come back in the playoffs; but would limit our other IR return choices being Holani and Sauratt. So if they all make it back in time, one of those would have to miss out.

I trust coach and crew to figure that shit out.

We get 2 extra IR returns in the post season.

I am slightly surprised at the early activation of Mills. Hard to believe he could be ready to play this early into his practice schedule. Is he really THAT good?
We'll see, This coaching staff has proven to not mess around with activating players that aren't ready...

That’s with those 2 extra slots taken into consideration:
- we now have 2 regular season IR slots left. We have Horton and Young looking like the 2 likely to have these
- we have 2 post season IR returns which would be out of Sauratt, Holani and now Arroyo. So one has to miss out (assuming we don’t have any other injuries; otherwise will be more than 1)

He has the potential to make a game changing play….which was always his value in playoff football when you desperately need to pressure the QB.

Who on our defensive roster does not have the potential to make a game changing play?
Many many people. My point is being able to rotate a fresh pass rushing threat on top of everyone at the end of a tight game could literally be the difference. He will only be a rotational piece on obvious passing situations, hence that’s why they have activated him

Honestly I don’t think we need Surratt to come back this season and a month ago I’d say Holani would be nice for depth/special teams but we have Jones for depth and Shaheed is filling in nicely in the return game. I also think that Arroyo would be nice to bring back but we have some good depth at TE right now. So I think we are looking ok at IR return space right now.

Completely agreed. I think Arroyo would be good to have back as another TE receiving option.
Holani v much feels like a depth piece which perhaps Jones can substitute for (although I think this is his last gameday he can be elevated from the PS…. So not sure what roster decision would be (probably elevate another from PS for depth)). Sauratt was a useful ST-er (he hit the big block on Horton’s punt return TD vs the Saints)..
The one we “need” back is Horton in my eyes. Sam needs guys that can win 1 on 1; all the help he can get.

Doubt it. But, it’s another IDL that may present some super sexy matchup problems for opponents O-line.

I’m not expecting too much…yet.

Lots and lots of potential though. I just remember this kid ALWAYS pushing towards the ball.

Too lazy to look it up but if I recall, he’s a big, athletic summaabitch.

Edit - ok…not too lazy. He’s a big mofo
