What ever happened to Saturday nfl games once the college season was over?

I think they went to Thursday games. I would rather see them back too.

From what I saw, probably only gonna be Saturday games on the playoffs this year. Unless they flex a Sunday game to Saturday...which I would not mind.

That would be awful. Would overlap with College Football.

Which is 90% blowouts and not really all that entertaining. I have been watching more and more college ball since our current regime bases so much off of being young and allowing the rookies to compete with the vets and most games are truly over by the midway point of the third quarter.

Alabama/Auburn and Georgia/Auburn were more entertaining than any NFL game this season.

BASF - preach it, brotha. Screw college ball. DVRs exist for a reason if you really need to watch both.

@Popeye: #Sadderday. :(

@BreesIsOverrated: No, it'd be amazing.

What is with your hate for college football? You have 3 posts in a row basically saying the same thing... did you not get accepted into UW or something?

Rofl, no. It's just not the same thing as the NFL. I don't hate it, it's just pretty much irrelevant to me and I don't care to watch it. It's annoying that it's realistically the only thing keeping the NFL from returning to Saturdays, too.

No Saturday games unless they flush Thursday. I like the build up to Sunday, and or Monday night, having games on Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday oh and how about flipping the London games to Wednesday for higher rateings.

Then when we go to China we can have them on Fridays also.

Being sarcastic but I think build up and anticipation is what makes it special, otherwise it becoimes the NBA and MLB just with a shorter season till they push that also.

I find college football annoying. You can see a player who looks awesome and is heading into the draft. You think yeah draft that kid. Then you watch them absolutely suck in the pro cause they can't adjust. Too many examples.

Gotta go against the crowd on this one, I like having a day dedicated to college ball.

Those that look at the college game as far as draft picks instead of just a game I can understand the dissapointment, I look at it as a game of kids from the area that I hope do well and compete because they have either dreams or just want to play the game because they love football.

One Saturday night game a week instead of the Thursday night game would be cool, I think. Kind of a transition between the college games in the morning and afternoon, and the Sunday of NFL games the next day.

Let college have some big games on Thursday night, while we're at it.

College already has had some huge Thursday night games.
