i think not, doubt he and Mac could coexist.

Besies it sure can’t be said he was all that brilliant as the HC of the Jets. The later may just be a location where there is a sinkhole of suckitude.

No thanks!

On another front is Devin White worth bringing in for a look?
Yeah I agree. Selah as D Coordinator seems redundant with MacD here as the HC. I don't see a way that meshes and works productively.

I was curious about White as well. I know there are rumors of his productivity going off a cliff and that he was looking for a lot of money the first time around. But maybe this has humbled him a bit to try and prove himself again. I remember begin really impressed watching him play in Tampa. I wonder if he could be a specialty piece that MacD could creatively work with,

MM was a defensive genius on this board until Saleh got fired. Now he needs help?

Also, Saleh ran a 4-3 in NY, SF, and Seattle. MM runs a 3-4 and already has a DC that has experience running a 3-4.

Let’s be real, this defense, is largely a transitional period cause Mac has not yet had enough draft classes to assemble “his” defense yet.

So, moving on from Durde to Saleh, is a complete waste of time and also destroys any of relationship Mac is attempting to build with his coaches.

The defense has been a let down for the past few games or so but it’s not a finished product yet.

No one in their right mind should consider moving on from Durde when it is still in fact Mac that is making the defensive calls…

And like a poster said, Saleh, is from the Carroll tree so why would Mac also want Saleh??

No, no, hell no!

Too many roosters in the same hen house. Nothing against Robert Saleh, but with a defensive minded head coach in Macdonald and a very good defensive mind in Leslie Frazier as an assistant head coach, I don't see what Saleh could bring to the table.

Absolutely not. We hired Durde knowing he would need some seasoning. It sets a horrible precedent to fire him after two poor games where he was missing many of his best pieces. It would be an excellent way to make sure nobody on the coaching staff is comfortable at their job having to constantly look over their shoulder, and motivating them to move on in the offseason.
98% of the time “precedent“ and “patience” in the NFL is just bullshit. Do what gets wins Now.

Carroll was replaced as HC, but he's still under contract to the Seahawks.

Saleh was replaced as HC, but he's still under contract to the Jets.

Unless you want to trade for Saleh and pay him his HC contract to act as a consultant...

I'm not saying it couldn't happen next year or that it wouldn't improve the Seahawks. It's just way to early to know if the Seahawks even have a defensive coaching issue. Even if the Seahawks could add Saleh right now it might be more of a distraction than a benefit. Which coach would the players gravitate towards?

Could the team hire Saleh as a consultant? Would he have good value to offer in a consulting/scout role?
