Lobster thief is a way better qb but he will throw a lot of interceptions. Russ just throws the ball away on 4th down with the game on the line.

Russ is a potential face saving situation for Moore and Loomis. As it is, they’ve built a qb room equivalent of rookie Sam Howell, Hendon Hooker, Tim Boyle and John Rhys Plumlee. They will win the arch sweepstakes but neither one of them will survive to see it.

Id go with Russ just for the fact that teams start moving in a positive direction once he leaves. I mean look at Seattle, Denver, Pittsburgh, Giants. The only drawback is you have to suffer through a boring and limited offense while he's starting.

The problem is, he needs an O-line to give him atleast 5 seconds before he chucks those balls otherwise you'll be seeing check downs and sacks all game.

Wilson has a $2M salary, but he could realistically add up to $4.5M more in incentives. I could understand another team upgrading to him over a poor back-up, but it won't help a team compete for honours. It'll just help a team better develop players around him. There ought to be other alternatives who can better help younger players.

The Bengals owner begrudges spending money on players who will help the team contend. He's not going to spend extra money on a QB to help develop them for 2026.

The Bengals and Saints are done as contenders for 2025.

...and if the Bengals don't want Bryce Perkins then nobody else will.

It seems to me hiring Wilson to help the team develop players would be counterproductive, basically giving the players a year developing scramble-drill skills and having to completely skip developing timing and precise execution of plays as designed.
In other words, they'd be focusing on what should be details and treating as mere details and pushing aside the most important aspects of contributing to an NFL offense.

Don't sell Wilson short. He's shown he can throw an interception in the biggest of moments.

I thought the Patriots should have gone and gotten Wilson a few years ago, because he was the one player in the league with a proven ability to deliver a Super Bowl title to the Patriots with his arm.

Check out some of the videos on the Bengals o-line, Do you want to know what an o-line of 5x Bradfords might look like? I don't know if the Bengals pass pro is that bad, but they've set up camp in same zip code. If they trade for Wilson, which seems like a waste of picks and salary, it won't be to play QB, it'll be as a human sacrifice to their own ineptitude.
