Is it just me or Russ has slackened?? I mean he was carrying our team , when D was weak and now when D is somehow clicking Russ has slackened... in the beginning of the regular season , the way Russ was playing I wasn’t afraid of any team and he was the leader in MVP race. But now instead of keep doing his things and get that MVP , his productivity has fallen. Despite getting the W against Panthers , Rams & 49ers loss , I’m concerned. Hope Russ proves me wrong again. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

He looked just fine today. Maybe the stats were not mind blowing, but stats aren't everything. All in all....he was very efficient. I like when we are playing well enough that he does not have to have the whole game rest on his shoulders.

He looked down against the Lambs. He looked fine to me today. Last week, the whole team looked off, and Russ really didn't seem to be doing his usual rah-rah on the sidlines to keep them in the game.

Everybody has bad days. He was back to his old self today, or at least it seemed like it to me.

137.7 286 yards, 11ypa, 2 tds, 77% comp. That looks great to me and would to anyone

Performances like today are the best you can hope for from most QBs, unless the game is in a dome. It gets windier, defenses are more polished, and there are more injuries

I for one think there’s a direct correlation between Britt’s injury and Russ’ struggles, but that’s just me.

And as I’ve said before, Russ is one of the few QBs in the league expected to produce no matter what. Tight end gets injured, Lockett gets injured, Penny some for the season, Center lost. Rookies and young players, injuries on defense. And yet, the Super Bowl expectation hasn’t been wavered. Even the strongest Russ critic would have to admit we believe because of him. Most other teams would mail in their Super Bowl hopes with these kinds of injuries set backs

I know he denied it but I think last week he had the flu or some sort of bug. His energy level last week didn’t look that good.
Today it looked much better.

No concern. Lockett was finally healthy today and Wilson having a go to option again returned back to his MVP form today.

We learned these past few weeks that lockett must be healthy, especially with penny out. Otherwise the offense has no explosiveness

I recall a few years back him playing really well and then for towards the end not as good and some thought he had an injury, but they kept saying no, only to find out after the season he did have an injury. So it would not surprise me if he was not sick last week at all.

Stats were deceptive. He missed a few throws that he would have made earlier in the year, and he took some stupid sacks that were the result of him trying to play heroball. Something about Wilson doesn't look right. His stats look okay but in this game I don't think they told the whole story.

Since after the Bucs game Wilson hasn't looked right. He isn't playing bad per-say, but I can't say he's playing great either. This is concerning given that the only way that the Seahawks are going to get anywhere in the postseason is on Wilson's arm.

If we're putting up 150 yds rushing, it'll go a long way to making Russ look better. :D

These posts.... :34853_doh:

Russ is the LAST thing we have to worry about. With the current injuries, the D is a real problem.

I'm not sure how you can get the idea that Russ "slackened" after yesterday. Started with 3 straight TD's on 3 straight possessions and then handed off a ton because "Pete Ball". When Carolina threatened again he drove us for a TD to make it 30-10. Then Pete Ball again and when the OL couldn't get out of the way of themselves with holding calls on running plays, he finishes it with a scramble drill play to Lockett.

WTF are people fussing about Wilson for.

Fuss about the wet paper bag D or the conservative shell O when we are ahead. Wilson was throwing darts and most of his incompletions were throwaways on bad play calls. He missed two deep balls and that was about it. Razor sharp. Like he often is in Carolina.

People are fussing because they never liked the guy in the first place so they continue to get their little man digs in like "hero ball" and that sort of bullshit. Is he perfect? Nope. Neither is/was Rodgers, Brady, Montana, Unitus, et. al. He's a future HOFer and I for one am thankful everyday he's a Seahawk. Waited 3 1/2 DECADES for my team to get a true franchise QB.
As for why there people take potshots and digs and never liked him in the first place, ask them to come clean on it. They won't, but ask them anyway.

Does that mean we have to put up with Wilson=game manager posts again?

I thought we'd finally put those to rest this year. Only took 8 years.

BTW speaking of 8 years, Wilson just tied Brady for most wins in the first 8 years of his career. And hey, look at that, the last 3 were without the LOB and Lynch advantage that supposedly was his only reason for success. Still averaging 10+ wins a season even without the benefit of an all world D or RB.

The "D was clicking" giving up over 400 yards of offense, letting the team back in it and with out 6 starters late in the game?

We clearly define clicking different. The 3 picks saved their bacon (bad QB play).

Wilson slacking? Wow....his stat line was outstanding for the day. I'm guessing we watched different games.

Yeah I wish we could be this concerned about Russell every week.

Oh, and we should remember that at least 2 of Russ's int's were on tipped balls and freakish plays. Doesn't completely exonerate Russ, of course, but they were more of the "shit happens" variety than real screwups.
