Who are all the running backs available for the Rams? Active roster and PS, bring back from IR? I'm not overly familiar with all the guys. And of everybody potentially available, who do we want active and on the field?

Holani is available to come off of IR, Velis Jones I like as a homerun threat they can use in a couple of ways.

End of day it'll be a mixture .. Akers has familiarity with big games and the Rams.

Next man up

Is Cam Akers still available? I can't find much on him.

Yes part of the practise squad. Can be elevated. I think likely is Holani gets activated off IR and then they elevate either Jones or Akers. I’d go with the veteran all else being equal but it’d be role dependent who they want cover for.

Velis Jones has had issues with ball security, though.

Don't think I'd feel all that comfortable throwing him out there in a Championship game.

Strictly my opinion but here’s my preference order

1. Holani (assuming he’s game ready which is different then being healthy)

2. Akers (from the little we’ve seen of him I think he gives us the best chance to keep running the ball and the most experience out of the two on the PS)

3. Jones (he’s an interesting prospect but is the least experienced of the bunch)

4. Someone off the street. We have had guys like Gaskin rotate through the PS and having a guy like that back for depth only I’m ok with but wouldn’t want them ahead of Holani or Akers.

The optomist in me wants to think that even if you have someone with few reps, the Rams also have no film on them. Secret weapon.

Like Percy Harvin was.

I like Cam Akers for his experience. He hasn't played much since his early years with the Rams, but he's only 26. He's no battering ram like Charbonnet, but we don't have a player like that on the roster. Robbie Outz might be an option if he had any experience as a running back, but he was a college TE and hasn't run the ball at all this year.

I like the Velus Jones potential, but he's a recently converted WR and I doubt that the coaches trust him enough to use in a critical playoff game.

Cam Akers, a former high school QB, threw a TD pass earlier this year:

Whatever happened to Jacardia Wright? Not sure if he's still with the team or not but I remember he was pretty explosive during the preseason. Then again, that was the preseason.

im also an FSU fan and Akers is a former nole. he will be the guy and have a big day. since its my world and everyone else is just living in it, this is my dream scenario and sets up nicely for me. plus another former ram to help make the rams lose is just perfect.

I hear this Kenneth Walker guy is alright and might be available. But yeah I have the same question as a poster above. Where is Jacadia Wright? I thought he looked good during pre season.

It’ll be Holani assuming he comes through practise unscathed. Mainly because as a pass blocker he is the best option.
Also as Hawkblogger has talked about; the staff were trying to get him touches even when we had Zach and K9, he is very well thought of
