Russ, you can. If the Raiders are crazy enough to take on his current contract.

The Raiders are going to put on the table something with very little pay this year, and very little guaranteed pay to give him the chance to compete for starting position. In case he wins the starting job and does a good job during the year his contract will tie him up 2014 and 15 for a reasonable sum.

Let's face it, this is Flynns best chance of becoming a starter in the nfl. He will jump at it. The Seahawks should have asked for a third round or equivalent in trade, but I am guessing they will not get anything close to that. Possibly they are trying to do the right thing by Flynn, possibly they want to avoid locker room distraction.

In any case, if this trade ends up sending Carson Palmer to Arizona or San Francisco it is going to be a pain for the Seahawks. Then we still need to find a backup QB or two and this is not the best year for that.

I wish the Raiders would either poop or get off the pot.

This is what happens when a team vastly overpays a player and then the FO changes hands and wants to go in a different direction.

Yes this move will define the Raiders front office, shedding Carson Palmer and getting back to respectability.....

Asuming Flynn is traded for a swap of 3rds or 4ths and a future conditional mid round does the team then consider drafting QB- Tyler Wilson @ 56?

Have a feeling this falls apart and Flynn remains in Seattle one more year.

Technically signing Flynn probably cost us a 4th or 5th round compensatinal pick this year. He cancelled out either the Carlson or the Hawthorn deal.

Please add something or don't comment at all. Thanks

That seemed like a perfectly valid comment, and it was adding something. His opinion.

Of all the people on here, my boy Hass rolls with the punches the best. He's a mans man, sweetie. He doesn't need your defense. He can laugh at himself.

I know this is a reach, and something that cant be confirmed, but this is Seattle doing right by Flynn, IMO. There's nothing but risk this year for Seattle by trading Flynn. The 3.5M saved this year is insignificant, IMO.

JS legged out a trade, where there wasn't one, for the sole purpose of doing right by Flynn. It's up to Flynn now - he's under contract but was given a choice.

I'm very proud. They gave TJ dignity on his way out too. So cool its our team.
