Sad, Wells was great at a not so great time in Seahawk history!

RIP Dean Wells. Seems like a lot of folks are going way to early these days.

That's sad. Sounds like it was some kind of leukemia. It's awful how many people go through that.

He was our starting MLB when I started following the Seahawks. I know the name, but couldn't tell you much about him, as I was young at that time and living in Connecticut and Michigan, and with the team not being popular then, I didn't get to watch many games. Looking at Pro Football Reference, I think they have him in a tie for our sixth-best MLB by "approximate value"; some of it is kind of confusing in regards to where they have some of our past linebackers listed.

RIP

Wells was a really good MLB for some great defenses in the mid 90s. Tall guy who would deflect passes even past the line of scrimmage. If you made list of un-sung Seahawks over the decades he's a deserving entry. He would have qualified for a flag raise! Sad to see him taken so soon.

Damn. I'm 56 so it really hits home. I remember Wells. Lunch pail type. As some said, he was a good player on bad teams. RIP my man. Sorry for his family and friends.

I was just gonna post the same. Solid and dependable, not flashy.

RIP Dean Wells.
