Maybe if they sprinkle him in a few plays like the Cowboys used Deion Sanders when they went to the Superbowl in 1996. But then...they used him throughout the season.

After recruiting Sherm as a WR, I'm sure Harbaugh had his reasons for turning him into a DB. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I'd be okay with putting him in ONLY to win a jump ball situation on the goal line. That's a pretty low risk play if he's proven he can win those types of situations. I'd be very surprised if that's even been practiced though.

That was not Harbaugh's decision. Harbaugh simply demoted Sherman as a receiver. It was Sherman who ended up asking the defensive coordinator about making the position switch so he could actually play. Harbaugh told him that he could try it.
