That should make me feel better, but yet it doesn't!!! What is wrong with me?!?! Oh that's right, I'm a Seahawks fan!

No, its not that you're a Seahawks fan, you're just you.

Ain't that the truth....I hate being me sometimes.

None of those teams have Brees as the QB though. Fitzpatrick, Kaepernick, and Bradford? Huge difference.

Brees in the wind and rain is a completely different QB than Brees in the dome... Huge difference

NFL network says that there was a team meeting about the possible suspensions a week ago. At least the team will have had two weeks to plan for this. and by the way they also reported that Sherman told the rest of the team that anyone still doing this kind of stuff would be left behind.

You guys realize that the Saints went into New York and got crushed by the Jets, right? Their secondary doesn't even compare to what will be on the field for the Hawks come Monday. Brees is one of the All time greats but his receiving core isn't all that great except for Graham. We play solid defense like we have the last couple of weeks, we will be fine. Our offense will be just fine. And like Uncle Si said, Brees is a different qb in the elements and on the road, and there is a chance for some nasty weather Monday night, it will be cold, rain/snow

1.) Still arguably the best cb in the league

2.) still the best FS in the league (no argument)

3.) still the best SS for this system (wouldn't say in the league, Kam works so well with ET because of the way ET can cover the field meaning we don't need to play a lot of 2 high safety so Kam is free in man-coverage/run stuffing)

4.) Maxwell/Lane would be 2 and 3 corners on most teams, and 1's on some teams.

Lets not forget the Saints could only put up 17 points on the falcons defense. Which is bad.

So even after all this crap I'd still call it the best secondary.

see, i'm actually excited about all this. Browner was more than likely moving on next season, and the possibility was that Thurmond would as well. Now we can see exactly what their replacements look like and if we have ready made players to slide in for next season.

this is still a Super Bowl team. Even if Monday night goes south, Maxwell, Lane, (maybe Winfield) and Thurmond when he returns are more than capable

I wouldn't say that I'm excited about it - now isn't the time of the season to be testing your depth at a key position in what is now a pass first league.

But it's not the end of the world either. Just have to keep everyone healthy till Thurmond gets back.

I keep hearing all this about how Browner and Thurmond are key players.

In all reality, Sherman, Thomas, Chancellor, Clemons, Mebane, McDaniel, Wagner, and Irvin are all more important than either Browner and Thurmond. That means they are at best the 9th and 10th best players on our defense. That's not even including Bennett and Avril.

It sucks to lose these guys. It sucks more that we have to listen to all the crap from the outside. But I am confident that our depth will show once again.

Also like to add that Browner likely wasn't gonna play until at best the playoffs, so his suspension has no effect on any of the upcoming games.

Wagner/Wright on Graham with Cam over the top in the middle, I say he is covered. we need both corners to do a solid on man to man and the front will not have run support from Cam. It is a problem but not unsolvable.
