I'm very impressed by Doug Baldwin's "affluence." He comes across very intelligent, well-spoken, and deep. They touch on the topics of the lockerroom vibe being down at the half, Jonathan Martin (Doug and Sherm's teammate at Stanford) and Incognito, where the offense is ATM, and the impact of Harvin's return.

Jason LaCanfora and his cohost came away very impressed by DB as well.

Baldwin is a real asset to this team. Love his approach to the game. I wonder if we will be able to keep him on our squad come contract time. I kinda doubt it. Not that he will command a HUGE price tag. Just that I believe he will enough value to another team that they will inflate his price, for us. Hope not. Dude is clutch.

If there is a way to keep Doug, the team will. They had offers for him after signing Harvin and John said no way.

At that point in time it was a trade situation. Entirely different situation than free agency, where teams bid for services and many teams will have more latitude due to cap space. Like I said, I hope he stays.

Anyone saying Martin is soft or weak needs to listen to that.

Great interview. The more I hear/see of Doug the more I like him.
