Apparently so. According to the rulebook it doesn't matter. 2pt conversion GOOD. W.
I guess, there's a loop hole in the rules..the refs called it a backward pass, I guess since it was thrown backwards, it could have been interpreted as a fumble. If that was the case and it was a fumble, the ball if a 2pt conversion is automatically dead, but, since it was termed a backward pass, it's still a live ball. The pt of debate for the RAMS is what they claimed should have been a fumble, but we all know it was a backwards pass that was tipped...

I hear ya'

It's just been brought up several times. Including by the head of officiating. In this instance, whistle or not, they got it right.
I'm more amused that coach McNeverhisfault didn't know the rules.
