Anyone else see anything new from the 49ers? I watched the first half, was shocked that the refs didn't throw more flags on the 49ers. It was obvious they were focused on intimidating the Rams. Should have had a couple of PF flags against the 9ers in the first couple of series. On a personnel note if they try that crap on the Hawks there will be a brawl and the refs will be forced to throw flags. The 49ers got away with this crap for a quarter. In the 1st quarter Kap was locking in on receivers with the 1st read, holding the ball for to long, bailed out early (picked up a questionable PF penalty?) and just didn't look like a QB that was capable of being the difference maker. Crabtree, man what a way to start a game after a long time away. He must have bought in to the tough guy pregame talk. Couldn't have been a worse start for him. I'm sure he will come around but can he do it against the Hawks suddenly short handed secondary? I don't think so. What I saw is a team that thinks they are the toughest team in the NFL. Just like the last 3 times the Hawks have played them. Losing Browner ( one of the toughest guys in the NFL mentally and physically) will hurt but I didn't see anything from this game to think the Hawks don't walk away with a bruising close game in SF. Would love to see VD try jumping over Kam...he thinks his junk hurts tonight, he might have to have a surgeon find it after Kam pushes him back to pre puberty.
*last two. You have won TWO in a row, not three.
Crabtree isn't at full blast yet. He had the 60 yard catch, but also two retarded penalties. Still, in his first game back from a serious injury, he is clearly an upgrade over anyone else on our team (sadly).
I do worry about the Seahawks physically hurting the 49ers players. It seems Vernon is put out of commission every time you play us.
As for Kaepernick, in the second half he looked a lot better at going through progressions, but he realistically needs a few more games to get better before facing Seattle. It will be tough for him. Very tough, injuries/suspensions or not.
