No one is scared of the lambs, but sure, they can play some defense I suppose. It's all of the scumbag cheap-shotting after the whistle crap that they get away with which there is no excuse for, and I don't enjoy seeing it on any team. This is supposed to be a league of professionals and they're out there acting like it's The Longest Yard or some pick-up game out in the ghetto. Grow the f up.

FACTS

Since Fisher took over the Rams:

Unsportsmanlike Penalties
Rams: 12
Seahawks: 4

Fisher's Rams are 300% more unsportsmanlike than Carroll's Seahawks.

http://www.nflpenalties.com/

Illegal-Hit-Related Fines (helmet-to-helmet, etc.)
Rams: 14
Seahawks: 8

Fisher's Rams are 175% more fine-worthy for illegal tackles.

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/fines-suspensions/

And just for fun...

Division Finishes
Rams: 3rd, 4th, 4th
Seahawks: 2nd, 1st, 1st

SUBSTANTIATED CRITICISM

Jeff Fisher's Rams: Fake tough guys. Epic losers.

A good number of those penalties were BS simply because the hit looked scary even though it was legal. 28 said it best: "Rams are gritty, not dirty."

Tough Guy Rams, they would bring a knife to a fist fight, a gun to a knife fight, and a bomb to a gun fight, they cheap shot players, play outside the lines, seems many of the fans don't know the difference between cheap and tough or a nasty disposition, there is a difference.

Most teams respect the defensive front of the Rams, when they play they are damn good, most people fear that they won't relie on that playing and will stoop to a cheap shot for an advantage.

The curly horned goats are not gritty. A gritty team finds ways to win. A dirty team does what the curly horned goats do and lose.

You gotta love it, though. You either love to love it or love to hate it. You know there will be a little butterflies in SEA's stomach stepping into the field week 1 after seeing what this team is becoming. We are the bullies of the entire NFL. We get in your head and knock you out when you're not looking and when you are looking. The only thing certain is you' got hit like you knew you would. There is no rest.

We kind of have a classic Raiders team, really. If we go far this year then our style of play will be the biggest headline in the post season. Too many pretty boy QB stories. Our QB looks like Napolean Dynamite so we have that going for us.

NFL has not had many teams over the past ten years that walk the line between tenacious and dirty. Sure, Greg Williams's Saints were probably the best example because they got caught. Coincidence? Meh, probably not. Still gotta love it, though. Wilson needs to get roughed up a bit. He's just too clean. I wanna see the guy really pizzed just to know it can happen. I've never seen him mad. Just something to watch week one.

The NFL needs a herd of rambling bullies. It's like a biker gang rolled into your town when the Rams pull up. But like I said, SEA are not far off. Hard to slap yourself, you know.

I'm just really excited for the team as a whole. There actually many rosters with more talent. People knock our offense but we have Cook, Austin, Foles, Britt, Quick, Mason, Gurley, and Bailey lining up with an OL that is built to maul defenders. I just can't wait!

Please no comparisons to the Raiders. Not a single Alzado on the Rams.

Giving the Seahawks and RW in particular gastro-intestinal distress the entire week leading up to the Rams game......I like it! :th2thumbs:

The running game does look good from camp reports. If Gurley is the real deal, wow!

Nothing scarier than the self proclaimed tough guy. Without the cheap shots your just another team that hasn't been able to put it together. Your team doesn't hit any harder than anyone else. Get back to me when your strong safety declares a TE hard enough to steal his soul. Or when opponents defenses are afraid to tackle your RB.

learning quick about Ram pride and what being a Ram is all about

Just lol. So, I forget, what week is it that the Rams are usually eliminated from post-season contention and all the Rams fans recede back in to the shithole that is St. Louis? Twelve? Thirteen?

Sounds like a bunch of unsubstantiated positivity. Illegal hits and fines don't make a team tough, and definitely don't make them winners, obviously. But I too would probably be making excuses and clinging to anything that looked remotely positive after 10 years of what Rams fans have seen.

I would stop short of pinning my hopes to Jeff Fisher though. His D-line is legit. That's his only accomplishment at all. The other considerations the Rams offer are special teams trick plays and illegal cheap shots. I know it's been a crap decade, but I'd still expect more than one great positional group from a coach with 20 years on his résumé.

Well based on the posts here most Rams fans say it's ok to be dirty and cheapshot as long as they don't get caught, Bounties are fine if you don't get caught, hurting other players is fine if they have class and don't have a habit of retaliation.

So when flags are thrown this season and suspensions handed out and fines we now don't have to hear that the league, Officials or anyone else is out to get the Rams.

Lol I'm glad you guys are taking such interest in my post. I just see a reoccurring theme being presented. You guys say how far we've been and our hits and "cheap shots" that make you nervous. But those aren't what killed us the last year and a half, really. We play good defense, sure. But what really killed having Clemens, Hill, and Davis starting over 20 straight games for the Rams the last two years. In fact, the only thing that really separated the Rams, Seahawks, and Cards the last two years was the level of stability at the QB position, especially last year. . Wilson's stayed healthy and went far. He got paid for that. Cards were a lock to win the division last year until the Rams ended both their QB's seasons. That's what blew open the door for you guys. Cards stunk after that. They were just like us! QB'less with defense. So a little gratitude would go a long way. I know Wilson has annually 22 million reasons to thank Sam Bradford's knee,,Rams D, Seahawks D, and Lynch. I know it's football but how does he really justify getting paid like Aaron Rogers? Supply and demand, I guess, and supply is short. However, seeing Russel Wilson break the bank doesn't bother me, seeing Luck's candy media tail get love year in and out does. He's gonna be just like Petyton until Brady retires and even then the Colts are a soft passing team.

We've seen this exact post every preseason for the past decade, only the names have changed....yawn. We've been waiting for the rams to have a winning season for a decade. The rams are that little guy that acts all tough then gets beaten down every time he mouths off to the big boys. Someday ram fans, someday. It just won't happen with the current head coach. Keep talking tough because talk is all you got, and by now, you already know the whoopin you're gonna get.

I love how EVERY season one or two ram fans show up and start yapping about how "THIS YEAR" will be different for the rams. It's cute. Predictable even. By week six, when the rams are all but eliminated from playoff contention, the yapping dies down and we don't hear from them anymore.

The Jones and Fisher are like top officials in the competition committee right? And the NFL doesn't understand the ridiculous failure its seen from its players the last 3-4 years.

No Rams fan has said its OK to play dirty or cheapshot. Bounties?! You're making crap up. Rams will play to the whistle and play hard. Hit harder than any other team. All within the rules. I won't shed a tear for any team that loses their QB because they played the Rams since no one other than Rams fans acknowledge the tremendous hit to an offense by losing the starting QB for the season. When more bad calls go against the Rams I want Fisher to chew Blandino's ear off for fielding officials who don't know the rules.

You act like the Rams knocked Carson Palmer out for the year with some hellacious hit. They didn't. It was a finger graze away from a non-contact injury. The Rams are far from QB killers.

The Rams are powerful assassins of QBs. So powerful QBs prefer to injure themselves rather than face the inevitability of disability at the hands of the St. Louis Rams. Notice the thumb up which means he's glad he won't have to face the Rams again that season.

Not Looking ( Cheap Shot)

Who's your DC, oh yes Greg Williams.

I especially like this part.

I won't shed a tear for any team that loses their QB because they played the Rams since no one other than Rams fans acknowledge the tremendous hit to an offense by losing the starting QB for the season

So Rams fans celebrate season ending injuries to QB's and you admit they are going after a player, classy real classy.

I guess if you can't beat them with talent it's easier to take them out for the season as a Rams and a Rams fan.
