I agree that the Hawks continue to grow and get better every game. When we last played we were evenly matched. But the Hawks are better now.

There was another guy that was wide open on that pick though. Williams missed him
I've never played quarterback, so wondering: does the qb go through his progressions and throw to the first one who's open? If that's the case he'd never even look at 3 or 4 if 1 or 2 was open.

DJ Moore going to deservedly take some heat for straight giving up on that INT. Wasn't a great decision to throw it, but you can't do that if you're the receiver. That was embarrassing.
I’m going to back up Collingsworth on this rare occasion.

I don’t think he was expecting the ball.

Having said that, it’s not a real excuse.
Every offense player should be expecting the ball on every play.
ESPECIALLY with a quarterback like Williams, he’s one of the most scrambling and improvising QBs currently playing.

Sam doesn't have anywhere near the talent that Caleb has. That doesn't mean he can't win a SB for us, though.
Maybe, but Caleb's a wild man who sails passes at times - moreso than Sam. Kaepernick had a heckuva a lot of talent, but his career ended way early, partially because his decisions were sometimes based on what he knew he could do, rather than what he should do. I think Caleb's got less ego and will only get better.

That TD throw was awesome. The majority of QB's don't get a pass off, only a small handful get a pass off that has any chance of a positive outcome, and only a couple get it off with an actual chance for it to be a TD.

Rams don’t look so hot
I just don’t think they will look the same next week. Will be a different team strolling in I think. Different world with these two teams now. A week to discuss, complain, and taunt about.

I thought the Bears had just as much of a chance as the Rams to win that game. Ben Johnson somewhat mystified me by his play calls off and on throughout the game. I'm just a dumb fan of football on the couch and I was scratching my head at some of them.
Should have taken the points early. Shit, multiple times.

Majority of the QBs don't blow the several scoring opportunites Caleb did. He made the big play. But he blew it on several little plays that would have translated into 14-17 points, so he wouldn't have needed that hero throw TD.

Ya, but I'm not banking on another performance like thay from Stafford. Those conditions were nasty.
And I'm not banking on another 500+ yards-given-up "Performance" by our Defense either.

Stafford is going to be STIFLED in this game.

Just you wait and see.

He's in his second year, for heaven's sake. And he's already led his team to a division title, a nose hair away from the NFC championship, and has made plays that have WOWED football fans all over this whole year long. Get real.

Never said it wasn't fixable.
But it's a problem now.

And you don't solve problems without first acknowledging they exist.

Almost every "expert" is seeing what I'm seeing with Caleb, that he's going to soon ascend to the elite level of NFL QB's. His talent, speed, elusiveness, arm talent, ability to effectively and exceptionally function in pressure situations are already beyond question at the end of his second year in the league. I'm patient. I'm willing to wait it out and be proven right over time.

Ben Johnson's arrogance cost them...refs were the primary factor but Johnson was trying to make himself next level tonight.

It was really weird. He def should have kicked that first FG. Every point mattered in those conditions. I couldn't believe, in contrast, how conservatively he became twice running the ball into the teeth of the defense over and over and ending drives, rather than have the ball in run/pass situations with Caleb. There were a few other head scratchers. It was just weird.

Experts and yourself are seeing him "Soon ascend". So hes going to break 60 percent completion rating.. and still keep running like he does? So a B grade Lamar jackson? What?

If the bears didn't take away the balls they did this year.. this team would be a nine win team.. period

Thats like saying Sam Darnold is "ascending" with better completion

You don't know. You don't have a crystal ball. Only time will tell. We'll see in a few years time. You're going to have to wait and see if you're right or wrong. But that's certainly his trajectory now. Remember Peyton Manning threw INT's galore at the start. How did that turn out?
