Well, Boone was, I don't think ICHI, Olerude Martinez, and the rest were.. who else?
I have opinions about a few of 'em, but I probably shouldn't betray any sacred cows. Boone was a friggin' monster that year, so just admitting that much goes a long way.

I agree Ichiro isn't much of a candidate, but I wouldn't be shocked about any of the rest of them.

Interesting look at ballpark stats here:

Some takeaways: Ridiculously low triple rate, very low runs scored rate and a very high strikeout rate.

If the ball is harder to hit, then any disadvantage we may have in terms of signing hitters would be offset by being able to attract better pitchers.

The best pitchers in the world - which arguably we're close to having - can't win a 0-0 game. 🤷‍♂️

We just need get enough batting to score one run on average. Can't be that hard.

We had a team back in 2k1 that didn't seem to have a problem hitting.
I was curious so I looked up the stats. Ranked 18th in homers.... #1 in runs scored. Hahahahaha. And that was years before the fences were moved in. I also looked up the home road splits for this year and they are barely better on the road and strikeout at a similar clip.

And another funny thing I looked up is Polanco, France, and Garver have better stats at home. Haniger's splits are the funniest. .754 home OPS vs .466 road. Unbelievable.

I just don’t buy the ballpark excuse, sorry. If anything we should have an advantage, as we’re there all the time…it’s our park ffs!

We’ve been outscored 7-2 over the past two days…ballparks fault???
It's not an excuse. It's a factor of why the Ms offense has been awful for years. Big difference. No advantage has ever been produced, that's the thing. Nothing comes close to what the Seahawks have done. It's hard to produce an advantage when you can't score runs. If you can't score the crowd never gets into it. It's been 25 years the only team to do anything was arguably the best line up of all time (2001). If the Ms wanted to use their park as an advantage they would build a line up like Cleveland, high contact and low strikeout line up.
