Of course any time a team dominates like we've been doing in preseason, people automatically assume (or hope) that they are game planning. Can anyone tell if that is the case for us or are we just running the same vanilla plays like everyone else but just doing it better?

Offense was very vanilla. Marshawn had 2 carries. Michael didn't even play. The D did not bring very many "exotic" looks to pressure Manning.

It was simply individuals winning their matchup battles, and doing so with a high level of intensity.

So far, and I'm no expert, the play selection has been pretty basic vanilla stuff. Also, historically the Hawks don't game plan for the preseason. If this is the case so far this year, I am even more impressed.

LOL.... queue the Star Wars theme music! Or the Halloween theme music? Or.... "We will rock you"????

In all seriousness though, yeah, we have looked pretty good in the first two games, although RW's/offensive performance from gm 1 to 2 was a pretty good leap, so that was a relief!

Orlando, FL...for good.
The river of tears about how the Seahawks are pretending it's their Super Bowl after each preseason ass-kicking we hand out grant me strength and succor.

Pete talked about this the other day..how he hates the "its just pre-season" mindset, especially with so few chances to smack around in practices now with the CBA.

I like that they have the kill mentality every time they don the uniform.

Well said, the donkey's were not ready for that level of intensity.

From what I saw, I think the Donks were ready for that level of intensity. Infact, they had every intention of coming out and making their own point in that game... they just got their asses kicked.

And what everyone's seeing is that our 3's are better than everyone else's 2's (and 1's in some cases).

Confidence and belief in being great is growing on the whole team due to RW's confidence/beliefs. RW's example of hard work and attention to details is rubbing off on the whole team. That is the true definition of a leader.

Seahawk fans have suffered enough over the years, this year will be the first in a long stretch of dominance over every other NFL team. I guarantee it. I say 14-2 is the minimum for the regular season 'cause when I look at the schedule, I don't see any losses at all but there are 3 or 4 games that could be close, most of the rest will be blowouts. Go Hawks.

14-2 is the minimum?? I'd like to be smokin' some of that stuff! Until we establish that we can play on the road and beat good, let alone mediocre teams, on the road, I will be thrilled with 10 wins.... If we win 14 games, I will tattoo my nuts green and blue! lol

They'll fear us when Michael Bennett breaks through and body slams that chump Arianna Rodgers!

I didn't see them as ready for it. They woke up real fast, but initially they were not ready. Any other QB besides manning or Brady and it would have been even worse.

I think the message is the same as last year; 1-53 we're bigger, faster and stronger. Like last preseason, we're proving it.

But this year there's no rolling the dice with games 1-6 due to rookie QB'ing.

Mods: We need to sticky this post to the top of the forum so when we reach 14 wins, 13th Man needs to pay up!

Shoot, maybe we need to text this one to RW or the front office just to add a little motivation.... Players slap the "I'm In!" sign... would be cool to have them whack the green/blue 14 game nut promise along with it.

I think it is this more than anything.

Because of the Always Compete mantra, the Seahawks are becoming a team that doesn't do anything half-assed.

Kind of like the Pro Bowl last year.

It is fun to watch.

Here and there
I just hope we lay a smack down again against the 49ers during both home and away....that and a trip to the Super Bowl would be ideal this season.

So, you'd call the road wins over Chicago and Washington (in the playoffs nonetheless)...what exactly? Not to mention we should have beat Atlanta. Be careful what you say, by the way. People aren't going to let you live this down if it happens.
