I'd really like to see the team add Brooks to the PS.

Really want this to happen as well. Guy really impressed me during the preseason.

everyone has players they fall in love with and want for the practice squad..but Pete and John are going to be going through all the cuts with a fine toothed comb and looking for the best available talent for those spots, right? they won't limit themselves to players that were on the roster with the Seahawks for the offseason....unless there is some rule i don't know about where teams can only stash players on the practice squad that were with the team in the offseason.

I'm really liking us signing Tyler Wilson or another unknown rookie QB to groom... Judging Tyler Wilson based on how he fared behind the Raiders offensive line isn't even fair. I think the Raiders may have one of the worst offensive lines in the league without Veldheer.

Nobody with an established quarterback goes with three anymore. That extra spot goes to a DB or LB that can do special teams.

It would make sense to dedicate one of the two remaining practice squad spots to a developmental QB. Not sure Wilson fits what we are looking for though. Too bad Zach Dysert and BJ Daniels made it on final rosters. They would be logical choices - we brought them both in for pre-draft visits.

The remaining practice squad candidates are rather limited. Maybe Chandler Harnish?

Not sure you can say "nobody" - Four teams off the top of my head are going into the season with 3 QB's. Detroit, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, and Denver are all starting the season with 3 QB's.

It seems to be a bit more common to carry two, but plenty still carry 3 (or 4 if you are Washington)

There are qualifiers for sure. Either way you are right in saying my eariler statement was a bit too broad.

Do we have a qb on the practice squad. Most teams Cary 3 qbs on their roster. I don't mind carrying 2 but we really should have 1 on the ps

Yeah we need one on the PS if we only carry 2 QBs. That way you have a QB ready to be a #2 that knows your system and your receivers if the need arises.

If we were going to sign a QB to the PS Tyler Wilson would be a a nice addition if Matt Scott is gone. WR- D'Rick Rogers is still unsigned and might be worth a look.

If last season was any indicator the PS will be churned to effectively increase it's size and to increase the number of players we have looked at to to see if they'd fit as a replacements.

the report i heard on Tyler Wilson is he has small hands can't have small hands and play outside in the NorthWest he would have trouble gripping the ball in wet conditions.

It's curious the team hasn't announced the PS yet. Wonder if there is a deal cooking that could affect the 53 and thus the availability of players from there to the PS.

I don't think their should be a limit on practice squad players , Should be able to have as many as the owners want to pay.

The only problem with that is that the money paid for practice squad players comes out of the salary cap.

Hand size alone may eliminate Wilson from any consideration (8-5/8"). But his lack of speed and athleticism would certainly trump any physical characteristics. He would seem to be a very unlikely option

I believe Chandler Harnish is still practice squad eligible. He was someone who intrigued me going into the 2012 draft. Below average arm strength, but very athletic, and a good leader. Played in a gimmicky offense, so he is still very raw. Beyond Harnish, not a lot of options. Any other suggestions?

Soooooo....does someone need to get security clearance to find out the Hawks PS?

Seriously.

Maybe they are just going to keep it a secret this year so no teams know who they can pluck off it. ;)
