While i understand that all fans are clamoring for news on Percy Harvin being ready we really won't know if hes ready to be activated for a game. Since there seems to be a new post every day asking if Harvin will be playing this week i think it deserves a sticky.

All signs point to Pete not stating when he will play in a game in advance. We likely won't know if Harvin will be playing until he is activated on a gameday.

I would like to take a poll to see if fans are in favor of a sticky on the main forum that says something like "Harvin Status Is He Is Out For Upcoming Game, will update when activated"

Thoughts?

I voted no, i know he was the most priced possession this off season, but I am not getting my hopes high for him to come in and then change everything on day one. Here is my theory, Pete and JS wanted him to play through his injury with the understanding that it did not require immediate surgery based on the team doctors and specialist prognosis from Seahawks point of view. Percy opted for a second opinion and went ahead with the surgery. So I am not judging who is wrong or right and everyone has to take care of themselves. But when he went ahead and did this, it must have definitely rubbed Pete and JS the wrong way. So to make a point, they are holding on to send a message he gets to play on their terms and not his. Had FO known he had to go through surgery and won't be available for the majority of this season, they would have never signed him. They also want to make sure other receivers have the rapport and get enough reps instead of making a one man show. There are too many dynamics involved. We may not know everything that is happening within the organization, but purely its a who will blink first kind of situation in my mind. And we as fans keep counting, he will play this week, last week and so on.. and even Percy has no clue when he will play, otherwise he would have tweeted by now. If you put management in an uncomfortable situation, they will let you know who your boss is.

So lets just ignore all of when he is going to play, he will play when the coaches want him to as another user put it in one of the threads.

I think it's something that the mods might want to think about, in order to reduce the amount of Harvin threads started a day. I don't know if they consider it any issue, though.

I don't think it would hurt to have an "Official Percy Harvin Return Thread," and just have people post news and discuss it there until he returns.

Voted yes so we can stop the 30 harvin threads. Don't actually want, but want a cleaner front page.

Wouldn't it be easier to "ignore" it all until that time if there were just one simple thread stickied instead of a new topic every time someone tweets anything about him?

I voted yes, simply because I think it would be easier on the mods, not to mention people wanting to find the latest on Harvin to have a thread stickied for the time being

Of course it would be to hard for someone to actually look before posting a new string all the time.

Its really not that complicated or hard to find info on him.

I vote no.

We already have too many stickies, imo. Plus, having a Sticky won't stop people from making new posts about him anyway.

If you vote yes, you are just adding another Harvin thread. Let the mods sort it out.

If it's not by the Mods and for the Mods it won't be stickied. A lesson we all learned when trying to organize a little trip to Houston.

I learned something today. I used that SEARCH thingy in the top line and found about the line I was looking for. I shall try to use it more often instead of paging down 14 pages to see if I can find what I am looking for. I still say no to the sticky. It would be too much to work with. And one more point....if someone posts on the old posting...it comes up as someone just posted on it. Easy to use. Someone created a great thing here....and did it right. Wierd. LOL

Vote carefully people. This is a very serious subject.

What if this proposed sticky is created, then somehow leads to world war? Hell, we could end up in a nuclear winter with crops dying and panhandlers forced indoors....with NO vegetables to eat!

OTOH, I suppose those things could also happen with just one more Harvin thread, too.

I'm getting my jacket.

I met this little girlie, her hair was kinda curly
Went to her house and bust her out, I had to leave real early
These girls are really sleazy, all they just say is please me
Or spend some time and rock a rhyme, I said, "It's not that easy"

It's sticky to rock a rhyme
To rock a rhyme that's right on time
It's sticky, It's sticky, sticky
sticky, sticky.
