I always thought that the original logo, ie the Stoned Seagull, although fitting if displayed above a blackboard in a classroom on native American history, was one of the most inappropriate logos for a football team as it looked so passive. It seems fitting that our expansion sister, the Tampa Bay Bucs, also had a silly logo, ie the Gay Pirate. Both of the modern Seahawk logos are much preferrable to the original, with my preference being our current one.

Being from Walla Walla, I can remember a similar debate about Whitman College's mascot, the Missionaries. I was on the opposite side of the historical argument on that one, too.

The first logo is the most nostalgic, for good reason; tip of the hat to the PNW, for sure.

As a modern, aggressive style, the more recent logos are better. I wish the current logo had the colors of the first. That would suit me just fine.

Agreed. I like the lighter shade of blue of our original uniforms much better.

But nothing causes me more discomfort than our radioactive Jell-0, puke green uniforms. Ugh.

I like all three....but I really loved the 2002-2011, it was new and modern for that time and the color scheme was cool. At least IMHO. I loved the retro original, but the eye was always so "tired" looking, almost sad like..seemed off to me.

I'm 100% on your side there...opposite teams can't miss those player when on the field. It's like a glowing target.

A massacred missionary logo?

I realize that this thread is about logos, but whatever happened to the wolf gray uniforms? I would rather have had them for our alternate road unis than the road kill whites.

Logo-wise I could go either way but favor the old school logo that screams PNW and for nostalgic reasons.
I would love to never, ever again see the wolf grays and the neon highlighter green..., not even a speck on the eye or on our main uniforms.
I want the 80's uniform color scheme with the shoulder logo and the collar and side pant stripes replaced with 12 feathers, forest green accent NO lime green. Silver helmet either logo, prefer old logo.

For alternates would settle for their present uniforms keeping the lime green trim to appease those who like that but l would replace shoulder with logo. Same dark Seahawks blue uni/helmet color, feathers. New logo helmet/shoulder.

I think it would be cool to have the old school uni's updated with 12 feather trim, original blue/silver, silver helmet, old logo, shoulder logo, scheme as our main uniforms.
Alternate, see above.
This way we keep both color schemes and both logo's but the originals get an update with 12's feather trim and the present uniforms get a Seahawks logo shoulder wrap.

I guess a guy can dream before some high priced French fashion designer gets a hold of it.

I’m torn between the fist and the current. The first has soooo many core memories for me but the current has 2 lombardis attached to it. I can’t pick.

My thought lbs exactly. And watching the new throwback jerseys on TV just doesn’t have the same effect. Part of that could be the quality in TV that I have now versus what we watched the games on back in the early 80’s (Curtis Mathes).
