At least the FO is constant on reaching in player

Have you noticed how many projected 1st rounders have lasted well into the 2nd round and how many projected 2nd/3rd rounders have already been taken?

Maybe ponder that for a minute.
Except both our picks have been consistently projected way later than the 3rd round. A short and unathletic DE and a safety who in today’s NFL is going to be a consistent 15 yard unnecessary roughness. Sweet crushin it

This coming from the guy who said the team got cute taking Wagner when they traded down and missed on Kendricks.

That is categorically untrue.

If you have to grossly exaggerate to support your opinion, you might want to rethink your opinion.
I got it you want to hype up both players in your mind but it doesn’t change the fact they are both huge reaches. I’m honestly hoping both turn out to be all pro but we’ll see I doubt they’ll even get offered a second contract by us.

If you can find and post a link to a single source that had L.J. Collier projected, and I quote, "way later than the 3rd round", I will admit I was wrong. If you can't, you admit that you were wrong. Deal?

Hey, look at that.

The guy the Seahawks just took with the 64th pick in the draft was consistently projected to go way higher than the very end of the 2nd round.

Find that link yet or are you going to admit that you were wrong?

What the Seahawks didn't do last year? Punish little scat backs catching the ball over the middle.

Do not catch the ball over the middle with this guy lurking. He may get a flag or two but alligator arms will last all game.

Glad to see them not standing pat at safety.

Reminds me of Earl Thomas a bit. Maybe not the speed, but the killer instinct and the size. I hope it pans out.

are there really people on here questioning our DB picks? For real?
IKR? WTH does Pete know about DBs?

I like this pick, but they have missed on a few DBs too

A cross between a more talented Ken Hamlin and Brandon Big House Browner, "mean" was on their checklist this year, I like it.

Seems like it's all there except that frame. Pete said they were going to start him at SS and that just seems crazy to me. Skelebro should probably stay at FS.

Really unbelievable how hard this guy hits. If he could gain just a few more pounds he could be a force. He and McDougald could be a great tandem.

Kam Chancellor Lite?
Something about his highlights makes me think more "Browner-lite" from a reckless-abandon perspective.

I like it! Still too small at the moment to really be a direct comp to Browner, but maybe if Browner and ET had a son, he'd look a lot like Blair?

At SS? Really?

I'm assuming they want him to add 10-15 pounds, then. He should be able to keep most of his speed.

I always love the "This player is a reach but I hope I'm wrong and if I'm wrong I'll be the happiest guy in the room! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!" posts.

Can't lose from that perspective.

If the player sucks, "I told ya so!!".

If the player turns into a HOF'er: "I'm the happiest guy in the room! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!".

Ahhhh, to be that ambivalent............

I think the FO is shopping for attitude with this one.

Weaknesses
Slender frame with thin hips and legs
Carried fewer than 190 pounds during the year, according to scouts
Edgy play becomes undisciplined play
Ejected three times over last two years for targeting
Too eager to engage climbing blockers rather than focusing on ball-carrier
Could face durability issues due to aggressive nature
Excitable pursuit is devoid of proper leverage to sideline
Inconsistent angles to the ball
Runs himself out of coverage position when responding to route combos

Love this kid! Didnt watch a Utah game where he didnt jump off the screen. Dude has a homing beacon. Tall and skinny, but not slight. Will be able to add 15 to his frame easily.
