Pick 223: Damien Martinez

In somewhat limited opportunities... and playing behind the 2nd/3rd string OL, Martinez just didn't look like the same player from his college highlight reel. In preseason, he hesitated while still in the backfield... like he thought he could elude the DTs and DEs... not his forte. Seemed out of character for him... strange!

Perhaps getting cut will be his wake-up call... and he'll land with another club and get a do-over... perhaps. I wish him well.

In terms of hesitation in the backfield - I agree though I almost felt like he kept running into his blockers/the scrum.....Was really hoping that he'd find a way to plant a foot and then cut and find a hole like most of our other RB's had been able to do.

Holani looked good. I thought Jacardia Wright looked good as well.
