From what I understand, PFF supposedly hammered Darnold on the grade because of the fumbled snap...a play that didn't impact the game.

What utter nonsense. LOL!

I’m going to go ahead and say FK PFF…what a joke of a stats system.

Idiots.

Sam was a phuking killer! All things considered, he played great. He wasn’t perfect. Missed a few open guys, and should have hit Barner on a check down rather than trying to force one to JSN. But, shoot, we are going to the Super Bowl. Screw PFF !!!

PFF is for nerds. They are a good jumping off point, but you gotta dig deeper when using their statistics. Correlation with more data helps get the bigger picture. They're about as trustworthy a source as Wikipedia, Twitter, or Reddit.

This. They don’t know the difference between causation and correlation.

I posted on another thread that PFF would low-ball him. 6/9 on 3rd down conversions compared to Stafford 0/6. Almost identical in every other respect, but Sam gets 60ish to Stafford 80ish.

Clowns.

I know what I saw. I don't need PFF to tell me otherwise. That was both a nearly flawless performance and an aggressive performance throwing for chunk plays and TD's under pressure. He also outperformed Stafford when it came to 3rd and 4th down throws. I'm having a hard time thinking how he could have done much of any better. As leader of the offense, he won the game for us. He answered every score the Rams had.

Cowherd posted that on his show. On 3rd down last night:

Darnold 6-9 102 Yds 1 td 0 int 141.9 passer rtg

Stafford 0-6 0 yds 0 td 0 int 39.6 passer rtg

Wow, that was good for a big-time laugh from me. I needed that after what's been a stressful day, thank you.
