Is Brock Osweiler still their backup? If Manning can't play, they are screwed.

How ironic. For all the hand-wringing over Peyton's neck, it may be other ordinary injuries that eventually get him.

Watching Peyton's arm strength digress over the duration of the game vs. Indy, I won't be surprised if it's his arm, not his ankle. The team wouldn't want to come out and report an arm. That's just too telling and teams are going to strategize accordingly. I'm not saying the ankle is not a problem, but I believe the arm definitely is.

Peyton is as good as there's ever been, but I won't be surprised to see both him and the Broncs looking less and less spectacular as the season wears on. He's not a kid anymore and as the weather worsens, arthritic pain in the neck is certain and that could very well effect the arm, as well. This is definitely not an old man's game and I think father time is knocking on Manning's door.

Lets hope it starts pounding on the door before the season is over.

Unsure if I'm making more out of the arm than what's there, but he reminded me of when he first came back from the surgery. Floating most balls over 20-30 yards as the game is extended. I've had the same surgery and there is no question my arm is not what it was prior to the surgery and I was probably as dedicated to my rehab as Peyton.

IF this is the case with Manning and the Broncs, they are in trouble. That is a pass first team, built around their QB, if ever there was one. Defenses with quick LBs (that play good coverage) will force Peyton away from the quick slants and into a range that he didn't look very comfortable with vs. Indy. We shall see, but suddenly, I'm thinking Denver won't be the team we face in the SB. But me thinking that likely makes them a lock. lol.

Manning is like 37 and has had serious neck surgery. That arm is going to go over the course of the year. Again, I hope we see the Broncos in the Super Bowl. It'll be 25 degrees, maybe snowing heavily, and Manning's arm will have 700+ throws already in it for the year. We press their WRs and shut down Knowshon freakin' Moreno, and the Lombardi would be ours.

I KNEW MY EYES weren't deceiving me. His passes had less velocity, spin and thrust as the game progressed. By the end of the 3rd qtr it looked like he was pushing the ball not throwing it. It's only going to get worse for him. Bronco fan tears will taste so good. :3:

I'm glad you saw it too. He looked to be laboring, even turning his head with the motion of the throw...like he was trying to get more velocity in doing so. Didn't seem to help much and just 7 games in, he might have told on himself. The LBs will start nipping at him like hyenas would a wounded water buffalo. The secondary circling like vultures.

Eli's mentally damaged and Peyton physically. I predict an unusually un-merry X-mas at Archie's house this year.

I noticed the forcing of his throws last year during their first game last season. He obviously was rusty and his technique did improve but, against the Colts last week he fatigued pretty quick. As a matter of fact, I just told a Denver fan that Denver fans need to be realistic and temper their enthusiam. Peyton isn't going to be putting up numbers like he did at the start of the season. He just doesn't have the arm/body to keep that pace. They better find a running game soon because if they don't it's going to be ship that starts to sink rather fast at the end of the season/playoffs.

To me, Indy is better than Denver, and the Donkos will be out again in the playoffs. Manning was basically how they lost last year.

That's a bit of a stretch, IMO. They put up 35 points on a good Ravens defense.
