Peyton just talked about only playing hurry up when they were down in a game. Questioned why do teams only play hurry up when they are down. Did anyone else think of Russ and the Hawks when he was saying this?
Nope. If we played hurry up we'd have set the league record for lowest all time TOP by now.
Actually, incorrect hurry up does not mean low TOP.
"The hurry-up offense is an American football offensive style, which has two different but related forms in which the offensive team avoids delays between plays. The hurry-up, no-huddle offense (HUNH) refers to avoiding or shortening the huddle to limit or disrupt defensive strategies and flexibility. "
That does not mean you have a low TOP. You can run the ball do short passes or whatever and work your way down the field. What it means is you don't waste time in the huddle and get to the line so the defense cant get set, to figure out what you are doing.
You're confusing it with the 2 minute drill which is different.
