I can't believe Pete would consider moving to Chicago. After California and Seattle Chicago would be an enviro shock he could not deal with.
True, but he would also get to follow one of his idols in Bud Grant and coach in the NFC North - a division famed for playing the hard nosed style of ball he loves.

A lot of talent too. Dude just needs to be gone. I have a lot of relatives out in Chicago. They hate him with a passion.

Chicago is a weird place; they are still owned by the original family and don't change things fast typically. Never known as a passing team ever really, but about defense and tough hardnosed Running and HOF legends at the position or close to it. Poles could be shown the curb for Pete to sign on, he has done that before and it didn't go well, his success is bringing in his own guys.

He has not done bad with his Hires for development of QB's either, Williams has a lot of expectations on him, he has weapons. Most the pieces are in place for offense success with right OC and approach. On defense, well we know what they will do there, if Pete has the say.

I don't think he goes there, I think it was a strategic leak since they were playing the Seahawks, there are going to be a shit load of openings, and he is senior guy with no Mister Bill competition.
