Pete just said on the Brock and Danny show that Breno had knee surgery today; He had scope done to clean up some stuff. Said he should be back real soon, but still...sheesh. Didn't know it was that bad.

Also said that Bruce Irvin was in the house already and raring to go. Stayed in shape working out at UWV.

His replacement was probably our most capable o-lineman yesterday. Not too worried about the RT spot. Hopefully we can get a healthy Max Unger back soon.

Asked this in the other thread and asked, because I was interrupted with a work call, but was it just a scope or did they need to repair something? Just a scope usually isn't too bad, but if it was more than that...well then it could be bad

He said they just cleaned some stuff out of it and has a chance to come back really quickly. Didnt sound like a serious procedure or anything

I am trying to temper my expectations for Bruce coming back but man if he can do some of what he was doing in the pre-season.. Should be special this year..

And Bowie looked damn impressive last game..

I don't think we need Breno for IND or TEN... so hopefully he is back by the time we have to face STL and ARI on the road.

I am not too worried about the game against IND this Sunday. Luck doesn't have the weapons that Schoob has and I think our defense will really fluster a young QB like himself. Their defense also isn't nearly as legit as the Texans.

Anything mentioned About Bennett?

Just has a strained muscle in lower back. Nothing serious. Don't believe he had an estimate for this weekend regarding MB.

i'm a little less worried about the O-line the next few weeks. not that there are any slouches i the NFL but JJ Watt was a monster as advertised. that was a good learning experience for the dudes who had to step in.

Sucks, I like Breno. In fact as of this moment, after Okung I think he's probably our least expendable player (I think Bailey can step in solidly at guard and Unger's had a poor start, though injury's obviously played its part).

Time for Bowie to really step up and prove he's our future RT.

No structural damage, just cleaned up some stuff.

PC mentioned that Bruce Irvin was in early this AM and in full health and ready to go. PC said that he was excited to have Bruce back and was eager to get him on the field to see where he is going to fit in.

Even with it being 'just a scope' it takes a couple of weeks for the sutures to heal. But it could have been much worse.

The news about Bennett is real encouraging, because I don't expect Irvin to get a ton of snaps this week. So far, as guys have come back this season, they haven't played a lot in their first game of availability. But still, it'll be good to see him on the field.

Over all, I'd say we're not in too bad of shape compared to how it could be.

Unger was struggling before he went out. Don't know if it was because of injury, but CAR and SF manhandled him up the middle.

They mentioned some problems with his arm, but I don't recall if they said when it started or not. Injuries that don't keep players out of practices or games often don't get reported. You don't want opponents to target guys.

Yes they did. I'm hoping the injury was the cause; hard to push off with a tricep injury. We NEED him back asap.
