ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on NFL Insiders that Percy Harvin (hip, PUP) is expected to return in a limited capacity versus the Vikings in Week 11.
Schefter stated Harvin will face his old team "not in a full capacity," and play in "limited spots." While it's still great news that Harvin is on track to play in his first football game of the 2013 season, he'll obviously be a risky WR3 in fantasy lineups. The Seahawks' bye is in Week 12. Harvin will be a more confident fantasy gamble following the open date.

Book it. Pumped to see him silence the doubters.

Schefter doesn't know anything. that being said it will be nice if Harvin comes back but to be honest I'm much more excited about our new breakout WR #15 than I am about Harvin right now.

Harvin HAS to be activated by league rule. Whether he plays or not this week will depend solely on whether he can get in enough practice time with the starters this week. All the talent in the world won't help a guy get timing and trust with a qb he's never played with before.

Honestly, if he is activated, I can see him getting some time, but I wouldn't count on him being an impact player or getting nearly the touches many would expect from a player of his abilities. It's more likely he'd get worked into the play calling with a few plays to start then add some every week

Schefter is more connected than most NFL reporters, but until Pete says it on Friday I'm not getting my hopes up.

It would make sense though that when Harvin does come back, it's for a limited # of snaps.

Like others said, he has to be active this week or else he goes on season ending IR. Everything we've heard/seen so far indicates he wasn't going to sit out this season. Hasn't he also been practicing anyways? I highly doubt he sees more than one pass go his way if he even sees the field against the Vikings, but it'll be nice to think about screen passes that become 80 yard touchdown runs

Harvin has to be put on the 53 man roster tomorrow according to the rules of the PUP. So it just naturally makes since to have him play, even if limited, next week.

True, but he's a "reporter", and that's a juicy story. It's misconception that people say he reported that Allen would be traded to us, obviously because he didn't say that. Was how close the trade was to being completed blown out of proportion though? Yeah, probably.

Harvin has to be activated per rule as everyone knows or he'll be done for the season. If he does get playing time, it'll probably only be 10-20 snaps. I wouldn't expect him to light the world on fire.

Yup, he just has to have a spot on the roster. They could sit him as one of the ineligibles since you can only have 46 players active on game day.
