Is that what Syd Rice had to go to Switzerland for?

The worst part of all this is Vikings fans laughed and laughed and said just wait and see. And everything they said was absolutely correct. And now we are doing the same with the Bills, only they gave up infinitely less to get him

Heh, <---->.

I don't care that we gave up too much for him. I just care that he's gone and our offense will be just fine this year and for years forward.

"Good kick by Prater, on a hop it's Harvin. And now he takes off. And Percy Harvin...gets free! Percy Harvin...inside the 30! He's gonna go!"

Only Percy Harvin related commentary I ever need to hear.

Agreed, that kickoff return for a TD was worth the Percy trade on its own. It destroyed any hope of the Broncos staging a come back and allowed me to breathe easily for the first time that game.

What happened afterwards sucked big time but I will always appreciate that one run back.

That's pretty much exactly how I feel. The Hawks were going to win that game, it's just that PH's contributions put away the game 12 seconds into the 3rd quarter. He just allowed the full on celebration of a championship start earlier. :) We will be officialy done with him next year when his 7.2 million dollar dead money cap hit goes bye bye.

I will never understand how people can say the trade was worth it for scoring a TD AFTER the game was already put away.

Why do people have to ptetend the harvin TD put the game away? Do people really need to try that hard to justify the worst trade in Seahawks history and one of the 3 worst in NFL history?

If we hadnt traded for Harvin we would have either drafted a WR or signed a different WR for LESS MONEY who actually would have contributed to the team instead of having elective surgery and taking the season off. Either one of those options saves us Draft picks and salary cap.

The Hawks win the denver game just as easily without Percy, without the insane cost, and we would be in much better position right now with extra cap space and young guys on rookie deals (which saves even more cap....)

It will possibly be decades before a team trades sooooooo much and pays a guy sooooooo much and gets so little in return and flames out sooooo quickly. The trade is about as bad as can get.

.

Scoring 12 seconds into the first half and 12 seconds into the second half ..that's pretty special.

Also, as an organization the Seahawks to me continue to make the right decisions - even if the decision does not turn out as they had hoped, they learn from that and move on.

How many teams out there would have cut Percy that soon? Sooner? Would have waited around and cut later?

The Seahawks make the best decision they can with the knowledge they know. Playing those odds, decisions will work out more often in your favor than not.

And with Harvin gone, looking on the bright side, that KO return in SB48 was my favorite moment. I'm glad we had Harvin for that. It was just super freaking awesome!! Wouldn't be the same SB without it!

Logic says you would be correct...

As a lifetime fan of the Seahawks though, I 100% stand by my statement. We were only up by 3 touchdowns with two full quarters to go. Too long....too long.

Decades? This is the NFL with teams like Cleveland, Washington and Dallas in league. It may only take next year to top it. Heck Philadelphia probably already did with the Bradford/Foles trade.

The Seahawks haven't missed a beat. They have a better Percy already, a DE that should have went top 10 at worst, a crapload of draft picks and Jimmy Graham. Yeah that took decades right?

Over dramatic much? Let's not pretend this was the Herschel Walker trade.

Is this the part where he says it's too sore to play, he needs surgery, collects paychecks all year and then comes back for the Playoffs?
